Phil and bones have parted ways. From what I’ve read it seems to be an honourable parting of ways. Did bones just decide that he can’t do it anymore? He apparently had knee surgery recently. And now he’s in the broadcast booth? I guess getting paid more money to sit and talk started to sound like a better option.
no idea why that happened. Phil said Jim would have a lot of top players after him etc…then a few days later he retired and became an on course reporter almost like Phil wasn’t in the loop on what he was doing. Sounds like it wasn’t so ‘mutual’ or amicable etc.
What I’ve seen of him, he’s kind of boring and not very funny. Not sure how he’ll be on the course.

A pretty amazing finish to the Open Championship Sunday.
Spieth’s putting is otherworldly, especially under pressure.
Kuchar was understandably gutted, but I’m wondering whether being thisclose to actually winning a major will actually fire him up enough that he eventually wins one…? I mean, I’m sure it’s fun enough being the PGA Tour equivalent of an ATM every year, but he seems to have the talent to take it a step further…
Spieths putting down the stretch was so ridiculously good. I was glued to the tv during the back 9.
In terms of Kuchar, he was definitely bummed, but I think your right this second place finish may light a little more fire underneath him.
I’m excited for the upcoming PGA, if Spieth can improve his driving a little bit he will be even more unstoppable. For being a shorter driver you would think he would be a little more accurate than he is. He can’t get away with hitting as many metals off the tee during the PGA vs the Open.

4 years is a long drought, and winning on the PGA Tour at 47 years old is impressive. Nice to see Phil finally add another “W”, particularly considering the field he had to beat!
