Kaymer certainly limped home with the victory. Amazing save on 17.
When it ended at 8PM, there was very little light. They barely finished the tournament.
By the way, that was no “rain” delay. I live a bit west of the course location, and was experiencing severe lightning and thunder just before they suspended play. Tornado warnings, 60mph winds, and hail were in a nearby storm cell.
Once again, Jordan Spieth needs a new caddie.

Ya it turned out to be a nail-biter. 17 never seems to disappoint. I thought for sure Kaymer was going to make bogey after that chip. Amazing putt, though - I think Johnny said like 10 feet of break.
Had st open qualifier today, course was playing tough and wind picked up, but shot 79 with 2 dubs unfortunately, but that put me in a 4 man playoff for 2 slots. Luckily I pared the first hole (toughest hole on course) so I was in after that. Should be a fun Open since it’s at a historic Donald Ross course.

Well it certainly didn’t hurt his game. Came back from 7 down to win on the European Tour today.

If he does go on to win, I believe he’ll have 3 wins in the States:
- PGA Championship
- US Open
- The Players Championship

people remember Kaymer for 2 things
- he backed into the PGA that Dustin Johnson threw away
- he was world #1 for 5 minutes while Tiger was away
People seem to forget how well he played for a couple of years there. He got a little sidetracked working on changing his shot shape to allow him to win at Augusta, but he’s back on track and looking pretty awesome this year.
oh BTW…he’s 9 under right now. He has a 7 shot lead.
Dustin Johnson got hosed on that call at the PGA that he grounded his club in a “sand trap.” I thought that was a bogus penalty.
