I hadn’t seen the article actually linked…

I’m sure you’ll be stunned to hear that not everyone shares your opinion, and that those who actually read the article can form their own opinions.

Not at all stunned. It’s a discussion forum. people share thoughts, ideas, opinions.

You’re the one who seems stunned whenever that happens. Quit being such a fucking baby. Shouldn’t you be golfing at your world class golf club with the 15.5 stimped greens?

Rory McIlroy was playing in a big tournament and comes to a 265 yard par-3.

After some deliberation, he takes out his 3 iron and sails the ball 20 feet over the pin, backs it up to within 3 feet of the pin and proceeds to make the putt for birdie.

After the round he takes some time to sign autographs. One of his fans approaches him. Here is the conversation that take place.

Fan: “Mr. McIlroy, can you tell me how to make a 3 iron back up like you did on the long par 3?”

Mr. McIlroy: “Do you carry a 3 iron in your bag?”

Fan: “Yes, sir I do.”

McIlroy: “How far do you normally hit it?”

Fan: “About 160 yards sir.”

McIlroy: “160 yard 3 iron. Why the fuck would you want it to back up?”

^^ unless that’s in the context of a jest, kind of a douchebag response

Shouldn’t you be out trying to learn how NOT to be a prick?

Back on topic, got my walking scorer shift assignments for the tournament. One shift Thursday-Saturday, then 2 shifts Sunday - that’s gonna be a long day. Should be a kick, nonetheless, seeing how these guys handle themselves and the course.

strange that there wasn’t more demand for the position. I guess that’s because it’s a Nike tour event. For PGA tour events, that job is oversubscribed 5 fold.
