I started this post in a thread on AZ. I think we’ll all agree an excellent day was had by all so I thought I’d try and consolidate the various information and media from around the internets.

I’ll keep a list of the day’s festivities updated in this post. Here’s what I have so far:
(All B8’s are DSG, All B5/6/7 are manuals)

  • 12.13 @ 114, ilspazzaneve/jspazz, B8 S4 APR 100 tune on 100 gas, pulley, + ??? | video of 1/4 and track
  • 12.18 @ 118, NotoriousVR, Self tuned B5 S4 Tial 605’s, Suncor 94 slip | vid | Car info
  • 12.2 @ 113 81bear, B8 S4, APR 93 tune on Suncor 94 gas, pulley, exhaust | video (although I didn’t get the fastest run)
  • 12.35 @ 113.8 - turbobaby, B8 S4, Revo 93 tune only on Suncor 94 gas (I believe ran 13.0 @ 107 stock)
  • 12.75 @ 108 - sakimano, stock B7 RS4 Suncor 94 gas | vid
  • 12.88 @ 109 - seinsmeld13, B8 S4, GIAC 91 tune only on 91 gas |video of random runs | video of fastest run (same as versus below)
  • 13.1 @ 104 - boravr6, full exhaust/LWCP/LW rotors/JHM 93 tune on Suncor 94 gas | a vid not sure which run though
  • 13.4 @ 103.9 - bangoman B6 S4 Avant, piggies/exhaust/JHM 93 tune/LWFW on Suncor 94 gas | vid | random fisheye video from AZ

Random cars we saw, not sure who:

  • low 13’s @ 110, C63 AMG
  • high 13’s at 108-9 - unknown, E93 M3 cabriolet
  • 14’s @ 101-ish - unknown, B8 S5 (4.2FSI)
  • low 15’s @ 98 - unknown, presumably stock Pearl White B5 S4? <— was he on the road course?

Chime in with other times and corrections to my list (either times or mods), I’ll edit as we go along…

jspazz is APR tuned. Notorious VR is self tuned. There was an E93 M3 cab that ran high 13s @ 108-109. There was a ‘big turbo’ B6 A4 that ran 15s @ high 90s. Same guy was sure he’d crush RS4s and S4s a year ago on the forums lol.

Awesome thread man! Bear was on 93 pump gas, just to note, although he’s gone faster still on pump, faster than anyone yet.

^^ Thanks, I had no idea I had you vs the Tial B5 on the reel. I also had no idea about me screaming like a little girl during the run. I really need to look into that.

wish we had vid of the red B8 GIAC 91 car when I beat him in my RS4. It would have been funny because of this. This was back when he was stock lol

When I posted my timeslips after that, and quoted him he kind of relented and we had a laugh about it. Still would have been funny to get our run on vid.

Good work on the videos guys. Mine were all shit. I fucked up the exposure (all were over) and don’t know what I’m doing with that thing yet. Got some good pics of the cars who stayed later.

Next time we’ll just get bora’s phone hooked up to a battery pack and use that! I thought I’d spent most of the day just hanging out but I got a few videos in and many runs.

I had 13 passes. Cayuga is great in the early spring and late fall. Summer is insanely busy though.

Thanks for the kind words, we did manage to collect some good real world data that day. It’s great to see a list like that and then realise it was just a bunch of people having a laugh; no egos, no keyboard racing, just people that like cars.

NotoriousVR ran faster than that run. There’s two slips in the linked photo, check the one on the right:

And other reasons drag racing your street car is cool:

  • One run over 100kph on the 403 = $53 to the OPP
  • 17 runs over 100mph = $30 to TMP @ Cayuga

Lol stockimano. Definitely took a swipe out of most of the fastest stock B8s with that time, and many tuned ones, any hating on B8 S4s from Saki is legit to me, and hard-earned…:slight_smile:

Thanks 81, hope a fix comes along for the DSG 1-2 hang-ups. We want 11’s from the B8’s… your exhaust sounds good. Not as good as the V8’s but a bit depressed it’s the B6/7’s bringing up the rear though!
