Is “Full Exhaust” headers included? I know they worked on headers for a while, but as I understood it, didn’t go through with production. Just wasn’t sure if this car had them or not.
So basically same type performance as a B6/7 S4 with bolt ons. Maybe a hair better, but no where close to the RS4 with bolt ons.
Not sure what was on the car in that video. They made that video a while back but only made it public like last night. Just saw it on the front page and thought I’d post it. I know that they had headers on one car but weren’t tuned for it. They just had a regular tune on the car. i.e. an early S5 tune that didn’t assume test pipes or headers…just set up to get the car moving a bit. It’s far more developed now as you can imagine, 2 years of development later.
Jason from JHM bought a 5 year old S5 recently, and they loaded a JHM 91 tune, put test pipes, catback and clutch on it. He has been to the strip a few times in it. Stock wheels, rotors etc. still.
Two nights ago he went 12.82 in his car. That’s the new fastest B8 S5 record for all motor cars.
Next up is to go lightweight parts. Not sure about crank pulley, but they’re adding LW wheels (stockers are hideously heavy) and tires, and the JHM rotors.
Any bets on how quick they’ll go? I bet they get an all motor S5 into the 12.5X range eventually with LW parts, test pipes, catback, clutch/fw and 93 octane gas and tune. That would be pretty cool.
Stock record is 13.4 @ 103 or something. Although it’s hard to get these S5 guys to the strip.
Would like to know all the mods done, but nevertheless nice time!
stock wheels are 29lbs each and the dunlops are heavy as well, about 29lbs too

Funny thing is 12.83 is 3 tenths away from what Spinner the PES car went I believe. I’m not sure if he ever had a faster time. It’s so spotty the S5 information flow.
Do we even have anything solid on the stock 13.3…this sounds more like urbin legond to me.every s5 you hear about is 13.7 range…that one old guy just not too long ago ran 13.6 at 100mph

Yes separate car. The video on audirevolution was from August. They were using a different car back then.
Now they’re using Jason daily driver, the one in the raw footage video.
For the record I really like the video with music. Makes me want to buy an s5 lol

It’s funny that the four door sedan guys with the s4 are way into racing and performance testing… But the guys with the sport coupes are more into window tint and cats. Wtf.

That’s because he still has stock wheels and stock suspension and not enough tint. One day he will be flush enough for their approval though…
Really hoping the nitrous kit can be adapted to the FSI motors. Next audi will be rs4 or s5 but I want spray.
s5 is beautiful. Stout internals, great everything. A little bump from nitrous or a good blower and it’s a very serious car.
They are starting to come around. The V8 S5 market seems very similar to what I remember of the B6/7 S4s before JHM started producing parts that work. They seem numb to most performance parts because they don’t produce big gains like the 3.0Ts.
