Goodbye to the B7...

…and hello to the B7.

Sold my Light Silver 2007 S4 this morning. Traded it in on a low mileage 2008 Avus Silver RS4 with 3 yrs of CPO.

I loved my S4…it was fast, fun, and sounded like hell on earth. It was sad to walk away from it at the dealer lot after getting the last of my things out of it. Car was good to me. Only thing that ever went wrong was a snapped serpentine belt. It (and the tensioner) were replaced under warranty.

Here’s a final pic of the S4 as I left it. JHM tune, Fast Intentions 2.5" catback and JHM 2.5" downpipes, JHM LWCP and JHM Intake Spacers were all left on the car. The dealership wholesaled it, and the wholesaler himself told them he wanted it for himself. I contacted him a couple of days ago and he made me a good offer on leaving the parts on the car. Win for him, because now his new S4 will be fucking badass. Win for me because I don’t need to ship 50lb exhaust parts all over the continent.

Here’s a hot girl who was in for service on her car while i was waiting around. Epic tits.

Here’s my RS4 while I was getting a burrito

Here’s the RS4 in a full on face off with a ‘sister’ RS car (lol)…a brand new TT-RS that was ordered but the buyer backed out last second. I shouldn’t make jokes…that thing would SMOKE my S4 and/or RS4.

Congrats on the purchase Saki! I knew it was bound to happen, but didn’t expect to see it here so soon!

Looking forward to seeing you make the most of that car!

Nice purchase man. You will enjoy it!

Congrats on the pickup!

Although we could have used a better front end shot.

RS4 nice…Great car and thats cool about the guy getting your car making sure you get your mods put to good use. Thats cool.

Love the color of the RS4.

what are your plans for it? comming from your car how does the Rs4 feel? is the RS4 stock if so how did it stack up vs. your B7 S4

Nice man! CPO huh, are you going to be adding some JHM goodies?

My search continues…

Congrats! Break it in right, JHM style 8)

plans for now are to enjoy it stock and carbony.

Vs. my S4 I’d say it’s probably slower. Car has 28,000 miles on it so it’s certainly carboned up unless it was cleaned recently which I doubt. Owner did nothing to the car. It’s 100% stock.

I’d say down low my S4 would kill it thanks to the JHM tune. Up top this car might have a chance to make up ground as that’s where my S4 always fell off.

As for modifications, first thing was to get the front plateholder off and replace it with a filler panel (I run no plate even though I’m supposed to have one…and occasionally run ‘magnet mod’ front plate), then get the JHMOTORSPORTS rear plate holder from my S4 on here. Did those tonight.

The car sounds amazing. It’s a very different sound to the S4. More complicated…like I’ve said a few times…ind of a hwingy sound to it that I really like. I think Count Vohn mentioned that this had something to do with the cams on this car vs. the S4 I was *at the the time) used to.

I’ll get it out to the dragstrip sometime soon in full carbon-dirty mode, and will do some races vs. a local JHM tuned, JHM full 2.75" catless RS4 who was carbon cleaned 2000 miles ago. That way we can see what the difference is between a carboned RS4 (the typical RS4 driving around) vs. a clean and JHM’d one. It ought to be a bloodbath lol.

good shit Saki, congrats. its about damn time.

thanks 91

looking forward to hearing about your ‘new’ car on here too!

Waiting to hit the track Wednesday before I make my grand introduction to AR. Whatever I run will be exclusive to AR!

fucking cool beans. Englishtown? Looks like it’s going to be cooooold at night. 44 degrees…DA should be amazing

last night at 9pm it was 50 degrees and:

Density Altitude: -571 feet
Relative Density: 101.68 %

!!!

On the first run, just roll off the line like you were pulling away from a street light quickly, and aim for a good trap speed. Then build. Update us with each run…the buildup will be awesome!

If those are the track conditions thats a good envirement for testing the car. Also what great advice on the first run. With much added power and temps like that getting off the line could be a tricky equation

91 needs no advice at the strip really, especially not from me. I just want to make sure he gets one under his belt before going all out. He has a tendency to deliver excitement lok.

^^^ feels like that post is missing something?

or were you just QFT?

I edited it.
