When i pull my engine next year for some resealing, i would like to do the headers (this is for an s8)
my only concern with them is the radiant heat. the stock ones have a very nice isolite air gap heat shield molded around them, vs the fabbed ones are just bare steel, which would drive underhood temps up even more.
Does anyone have theirs ceramic coated? How are the intake or inlet temps with uncoated headers?
I do not want to wrap them as 1) little room 2) wrap holds moisture. Fine for a race car, not a daily in 4 seasons.
