has anyone driven the C7 S6?

Trying to plan my future, my 2010 S6 is still in the shop (carb cleaned but still threw another CEL and had no power, now they are replacing a fuel injector and I hope the only one).
I hear the new S6 is hella fast, but does it have the guttural feel that mine does? I am sure it sounds shitty in comparison stock. The interior is stunning I know from the A6 of those years. And the seats look amazing!

Anyone drive one? What are your impressions?

I drove one a few years back right before they came out at Monticello raceway. I absolutely loved it and im considering moving up to one next year. No it doesnt have the same sound as my V8 or even your V10 but man is it fast and refined.

My main comparison is my 2008 S4. I loved it. Best bet for you would be to go out and test drive one.

The sound is probably similar to a stock s4

Yeah they are a nice and refined, but too refined for me. Sure if was faster and had more tech, but to me the car lacked soul that the c6 s6 has. Also even though is handled slightly better with the active sport diff, it felt a little artificial. If it were me and wanted a special csr I’d wait to buy a lightly used rs7 and if you don’t need 4 doors the rs5 is super fun to drive as well.

I totally agree it’s like most new cars. The AMG Merc line now all make a ton of power but if you drive them your kinda like this is fast but where is all the excitement.

1/2 the fun of going fast is the feeling of getting there

Rs7 and RS5 are certainly more exciting visually and in the RS5 case, aurally , however the C7 S6 is fantastic. A tuned S6 is beating pretty much anything on the road in 99% of situations. Sure you might lose a high speed pull to a hellcat or an M5 (debatable) but from 0-100 nobody without a super car is touching you. That’s pretty special.

Like the c6 s6, the c7 is quite the sleeper. To me it’s more like the size of the d4 s8. Again, they are very fast, but the feeling was not special. For instance I’d rather have an e60 m5 tuned that would be quite similar in power yet much more exciting to drive. Dif. Strokes for dif folks. Maybe I, crazy but the c7 is more vanilla looking…

One of the main factors in my purchase…(tuned or not)

I don’t disagree - that’s what my wife and daughters say too…

I will say the look is really growing on me, starting to love the front end, there has got to be a way to make the rear look better, perhaps a carbon fiber diffuser and carbon deck lid? I bet a tuned version with a x pipe exhaust would sound rather mean too? Also, anyone knowing the max hp this trans can handle safely?

Fast car, rides great. Fast mobile conference room.

Perfect car for someone who drives a lot on the freeway – endless overtaking power – all the while talking on the phone.

Why you sell yours.

Too scary…

Family of 5 now. Needed third row SUV. Bought a 2014 Land Cruiser. (twin to my '76 FJ40)
