Hey guys, so lately my passenger headlight would sometimes work and sometimes not. The bulb was new so i figured that wasnt the issue. last night we swapped the ballasts on the headlights and the error moved from passenger to driver. So looks like i need to replace it.
A buddy of mine can get one for me for 370 new but then i found this.
This is would work ok right?
I cant see any reason why it wouldn’t work. at a third the cost too. my lights flicker from time to time and my bulbs are new so ill likely replace the ballasts next time I have the bumper off. good to know theres a reasonably priced option.
Just make sure you get a ballast that matches if you have adaptive headlights or not. They are different.
There is a Chrysler ballast that might work. It costs a lot less.
I believe that option is only for the b6. I bought them for my b6 saved me a couple hundred.
I have a B7 ballast w/ AFS. Came out of an 07 A4. I believe they are interchangeable.
