I bet they would. ECS usually has great customer service. i’ve always had good experience with their service. The ECS branded products however, you should stay away from.
It depends on which ECS branded products. I got a few of their drain plugs, oil filter caps, etc. Generally small stuff but they work. A few people that I know don’t like the small ECS engine oil drain plug for the FSI engines and I can’t really blame them but so far my stuff has held up.
It’s a hit or miss with them. I’ve ordered from them some basic parts and gotten my orders in time no problem. On one of the orders a part got damaged during shipping and they just sent me a replacement ASAP, which was awesome. However when I got their billet dipstick k and it didn’t fit properly due to a design flaw, they gave me two options:
Option A: bend your cars dipstick tube to accommodate for their poorly designed dipstick, to which I replied LOL u can’t be fucking serious?!?!?!
Option B: pay for return shipping and I believe a restocking fee was mentioned as well(but not too sure on restocking fee as it might’ve been a different vendor issue, I was dealing with two at the same time back then.)
So your product has a design flaw where a customer should alter their vehicle to accommodate for your dipstick. I know it might not be a big or at all for that matter issue for some to bend a dipstick tube, but for me it was a principle. When I addressed issue at hand the rep never admitted to it in the first place and so casually passed it off as if it wasn’t a a big deal at all and just gave me the above said options. I probably would’ve reacted a bit differently had he taken into account that it’s a fitment issue due to design flaw and agreed with me. For god sakes it’s just a damn dipstick, how simple could you get. It’s not like we’re talking about expensive coilover or even supercharger set up here. Therefore, as you could imagine I decided to stick with OEM one and probably will list ESC one for sale soon. Shameless plug anyone wants it, opened the hood fitted it, took it out and never used again hahahahaha

Yeah, after a ton of searching I found that it’s just the difference between having curve lighting or not.
I called ECS and asked them that specific question and even sent them pictures but they couldn’t figure it out for some reason. Hence the need for me to search for what turned out to be a pretty easy answer and solution.
ECS is in some cases not much better than just asking the dealership. If the part numbers dont match up they sometimes just dont know exactly what is what. They are more of a parts house than a modification parts place. From what I have seen if you dont have part numbers they dont know and ususally they dont know much outsiide of standard basic stuff.
