Hey guys - I just stumbled onto this post. That was me in the AZ post.
I have no bias towards BMW vs. Jeep, but obviously I do towards Audi.
However, what I said over there was true.
M3 - stock
Second gear pull with no shift up to third for either car, the rs5 is a car length ahead.
Third gear pull with no shift in between, same result.
There is zero doubt in my mind the RS5 is faster. I don’t care what magazines say.
Jeep - with exhaust and intake
Off the line using launch control on both cars, the Rs5 is only a hair faster. He used his in car timer for 0-60 and he clocked 4.3 so that put my car around 4.1. How accurate those in car gadgets are is obviously up to speculation. Once we hit about 80 and start to top second gear, the Rs5 gains speed.
I feel more confident racing an M3 than one of those jeeps. Those things are WAY underrated by magazine tests. Go race one and find out for yourself - its a shitty feeling lol
