Yup then you think you are invincible and a guy with a Z06 cuts a 1.4 60ft on radials and reality sets back in lol :(. Honestly if you have a decently fast RWD car it’s practically pointless to run it on street tires might as well at least run street drag radials and cut a -1.6 60ft all day but people don’t want too swap out tires/rims I understand that.
^^^yeah, most people are there for fun (and aren’t serious) or are there to benchmark their car (thus street tires are important). Once you throw drag radials it’s no longer really your car that is being tested is it. Same goes if you pull your seats or exhaust off…or in my opinion run fuel you don’t run on the street, it starts to become less about benchmarking and more about just setting a time, which is also cool.
I just don’t think it adds up to ‘my car is faster than your car’ if the caveat is that you have to change wheels, drain your pump gas, put in race gas in order to race me. That’s not your car anymore…and I’m not waiting around for you to do that lol.
