Hoffman Estates Audi Opening Night

My old dealership (Schaumburg Audi) opened up a brand new location in the town over (and closed the old space); they had an invite only ceremony:

Lots of cool cars there as well as top brass from AoA. Met the CEO, COO as well as got to see a few RS7’s

Nice big show room

Theyre all getting overhauled to be huge it seems.

Those tiles looked cheap. Everything else looked nice.

The tiles where all those R8’s are lined up (and three TTRs and a RS7) is the service entrance bay. They had valet ready to park your car, hand you Champaign, take your picture (with your guest) in front of an Audi logo backdrop thing (like Hollywood style) then free food and drinks inside. They did it right, super nice, waiters and waitresses everywhere with white gloves and tuxedos.

That is how Audi wants the showrooms to look.

The small tiles in the pictures with the two R8s or the RS7 will never look that clean after the first month. They look to be in the service department and they couldn’t keep the ones in my last dealership clean without a lot of effort.

EDIT: damn dblearon ninja post!

;D

As the rich become richer they need to follow the market!

Cool pics! Thanks for sharing… The dealership I work with is in the process of building a new facility and I’m sure they will do a similar grand opening type event… Sad as I know the current location is one of the oldest if not oldest Audi dealership in the country, I believe it started in the mid/late 50’s as a Porchse dealer and later added the Audi brand… Penske has taken over all of the Audi dealerships in my area now though…

^Yea, our Audi is moving closer to me as well. All the dealerships are going to be within 3-4 miles of my house now (wish that was the case when I had the Audi, but it was only 15 miles away then). It’ll be nice when they’re done, because it’ll just be a central hub for high end car shopping. (Porsche Audi Mini BMW Lexus Bentley Mercedes Maserati and several others)

The porsche Dealership just opened up a month ago and did a similar event as the OP’s did. Audi is opening in January as well. The new service bays are just so cool to see. All having the in-ground lifts etc. Makes your car being worked on kinda fun to watch lol.

Oh, and the new porsche garage door is something crazy. Probably 10’ by 35’ and opens in literally ~2 seconds. It closes a little slower at probably 4-5 seconds. But the first time you see it, you think “shit, did the door spring just break!?!?”

Nice work op, I hope you pointed the AoA CEO in the direction of the premier Audi forum. I think he’d get approved for membership

Nice, I need to stop by next time I’m over there and take a look. I saw it a while ago when it was just the iron skeleton and it was massive

I feel sorry for you.

Yeah, I have heard that from others as well… They were fine to deal with when I bought the RS and the service team is still intact and they take care of me or at least have all along… Still no TD1 or whatever… My buddy was the GM for Audi but they moved him to the Honda dealer and it was a promotion I think purely on volume of cars that go through the dealer and of course it’s a Penske Honda dealer…
