Who else is tackling garage projects on the forum, let’s see some more. I’m just settling in to my new garage but will post once fully organized and cars parked.

thanks guys, the Dark Gray was surprisingly my wife’s idea. i learned to never argue and usually works out haha.
from what i remember it was 4 bucks for the floor and 1.5 to prep. since it had the paint done form the previous owner they had to grind it down. its an expensive option for sure especially on a massive garage like you have. the company i went with offers some crazy finishes. can get them to look like a marble garage floor haha im sure that would be a bunch more http://www.premiergarage.com/garage-floors.html

what did you have in mind? I haven’t looked into that at all. edit: I just looked at some photos. Looks slippery when wet…which wouldn’t be ideal in northern climates where your garage is wet 4 months in a row (winter)
I was thinking something like this with the porcelain tile:

If you go with tiles then get a darker color like the black in the third picture. One of the dealerships that I worked at got white tiles and they couldn’t keep them clean. Looked like shit after half a day of cars driving through.

The big thing that turns me off about all the tile and temporary floor solutions is ability to clean up what gets underneath. I’m sure the epoxy solutions have come a long way as well, but I recall my folks doing theirs 20 years ago and if you dump enough solvent on the ground (like cleaning an engine block), the epoxy will break down and lift. Shouldn’t be an issue for 99% of users and people who clean up quickly.
I brought up polished concrete because it’s cheap (as low as $2/ft) and cleanup is easy. I had a polished floor back in IL and I don’t recall having an issue with traction in the winter. Valid point nonetheless.

it looks awesome though. Friend has it in his house and garage and he said they put some stuff on it to give it a bit of grit in the garage so it’s not slippery. Looking into it thanks.
