How do I stop my music volume from dropping out when I put it in reverse?

I managed to get rid of the exclamation point on my display when I pass 160 km/h but this no music during reversing thing is still annoying me.

Are you wired for a rear view cam? Or parking sensors?

I have rear view camera but dont get any volume interruption with my music in reverse. Not sure what is going on with your VAG settings

You shld be able to disable this in the car settings menu on your MMI. I believe no VAG-COM necessary. At least that’s how it is on my car.

so it’s the “in car entertainment fader”

silly thing was I figured it out by tinkering - the MMI manual had nothing obvious listed under “reverse” or “volume” but “in car entertainment fader” is definitely in the index lol.

and no, no trip to Saki’s house (no VAG COM) required.
