Talk to CV about the downpipes, he might be able to give you some assistance without having to pull your stock ones.

Tax time is here and I was hoping JH Motorsports would have the 3.0L’s DP’s ready.
I am going to spend some money and test a theory.
I have been old when the CEL code says Your CATS are bad that 02 spacers wont fix the codes.
We’ll see about that.
Does anyone know who sells good L shaped 02 spacers besides 42DraftDesigns?

Tax time is here and I’m going to pay off my 3.0 ;D Got a bunch of brake stuff from ECS today and next weekend, I’m replacing pads/rotors/fluid with the help of a friend. As long as the weather holds out anyway.
I got the GEOMET coated rear rotors from ECS for $52.57. for the pair. I like the way they don’t rust up.
There 6 month old and still look new. The front ones are new but not GEOMET coated and they look like there rusted bad but they aren’t but 3 months older then the rears.
That’s nice to hear. I’m replacing both my front and rears because of rust and poor rotor wear now. There is about 1/2-1" of rust along the outer edge on the contact surface. It looks bad and probably isn’t the greatest for brake performance. I got the Meyle rotors for front and rear and both have the Geomet coating, so hopefully they stay rust free and also wear a little more evenly this time.

Welp, soon I will no longer be a 3.0 owner. This week I’ll be upgrading to a 2007 RS4 and selling my 3.0. As much as I love my 3.0, I just fell in love when I drove the RS4 this weekend. I wasn’t going to do it but I ended up winning the auction at a very nice price that I couldn’t refuse.
I’ll still be around these forums. While JHM has been slow, they are definitely making great progress with some very exciting plans for the 3.0. Part of me wishes I didn’t drive and fall in love with that RS4 so I can experience what is in store for the 3.0.
I’ve been noticing what looks to be some new names posting.

After a year of sitting, Im finally getting my 3.0 back together for my A6. It all started with being told my trans was cracked, so I pulled the engine and trans together, and started replacing gaskets and timing belt on the engine. I have deleted the entire SAI system, redoing the vac lines, deleted the auxiliary water pump, blocked off the throttle body coolant lines and making block off plates for the heads, where the combi valves were at. I cut the cats out as well, going to weld some piping in place, and get a hold of a user on Audizine about tuning out the codes for the SAI and rear O2 sensors.
