Damn Jake that was quick lol.
I can for sure start two up. The b6 thread well be quick, but the b7 one might take awhile.

Nice - welcome to the forum! Maybe start a build thread with pics?
Haha yup!
There is tons of information for you on this forum for the 3.0L and a lot of active members willing to contribute information across all platforms.
The B7 A4 section lacks a little bit, but hopefully one day it will pick up soon!
That is good to know. The avant is my DD, but I still want it to look and sound nice lol. Just not overly loud, and it needs to ride smooth. She well be getting 18’s of course. I will be sure to ask away on here.
Yeah if you can’t find the answer on here, please do ask!
Welcome, Seth!
Definitely do two build threads, one for your 3.0L and one for your B7 A4!
For sure… It will be a slow build thread for the 3.0L till the b7 is fully done though lol. I will get one started with pics soon. Currently in Tx for equipment schools for work.

What’s the difference between the b6 and b7 brakes?
Front brakes:
B5 S4: 321mm x 30mm
B6 1.8T: 288mm x 25mm
B6 3.0: 312mm x 25mm
B7 2.0t/3.2: 320mm x 30mm
B6/B7 S4: 345mm x 30mm
Rear brakes:
B5 S4: 256mm x 22mm
B6 1.8T: 245mm x 10mm
B6 3.0: 255mm x 12mm
B7 2.0t/3.2: 288mm x 12mm
B6/B7 S4: 302mm x 22mm
The biggest difference between the B6S4 to B7A4 brakes is the rear B6S4 rotors are vented while the B7A4 ones are solid. B6 A4 - calipers for 1.8t and 3.0 are the same, carriers are different. Calipers for the B6S4/B7A4/B7S4 are the same, carriers are different

Hey man have a few questions for ya.
I have a 2003 3.0L avant now. How much of a difference did the Jhm tune make? How about jhm’s clutch setup?
I plan on doing the JHM catless dp’s, clutch kit, tune, FI exhaust or my own, and the intake spacers. Anything else I should look at doing to this motor? It is my DD so by far not really looking for power, just to make it a little better to drive around ha

It is noticeable, but not overly dramatic IMO. The tune really just gives you a linear throttle response and gets you what feels like a more linear power curve. The clutch I just got, and it is pretty smooth, but if I had a lot of driving in traffic, I’d probably avoid it. The pedal is heavier than what I had before, so it is harder to sit with the clutch disengaged now compared to before. Otherwise it feels fairly stock, and there are only bad noises at low RPM and high load conditions. Holding power has been good thus far, but I’m still taking it easy as I haven’t had 500 city miles yet, maybe 125-150 of that, so ~25% through the break-in period.

That is great to hear. Like I said I am not looking to add a ton of power as it is my DD as my other audi is the more non daily now. Sounds like it is going to make up for what the car lacks in the powerband a bit. I am use to heavy clutches since I drive rigs all day so everything feels lights to me. Thanks for the info man.
I have the JHM catless DP’s and I have the 2.5 center X-pipe from FI and I am going to put them on the car soon.
I didn’t have the money for the install when I got them. I blew my water pump up again so major repair.
The FI x-pipe has resonators so I might go with no mufflers.
I’ll see how it sounds first then decide if I want to keep it without the mufflers.
Welcome Seal66…
