How many S6s with over 100k miles?

Thanks for the props Hans! IMHO, Its a good no go on the Quattroporte, a buddy of mine had one and said it was a beauty but very high maintenance, sort of like most supermodels, or so Im told. I’ve been fortunate with my S6 in that at (now 112K) miles, it has been rock solid reliable for 10 years and 3 months. Its good to see that there are a couple more S6/911 guys around. Its a tough choice every morning (except when the weather sucks), made even more tougher by JHM.

Black 07. Just checked and I’m getting close to 110K miles. Last 25k done by me.

i bought 2007 in 2013. Had 198K. Crazy. All records and service done at Audi Warwick. I couldn’t afford more than $20k so I got it for $18k. Today has 253K miles on it. All stock. Cant stop driving it.

Could you post the highlights of the service that’s been done and the mileage at service? Would be nice to know what may be on the horizon.

Love seeing these cars with super high miles. 250k is ALOT of miles.
We got ours with 69k on it, and put 20k on it in 1 year, zero problems. Of course right after it had massive misfires, did the carbon and injector clean, ran grea,t now has oil leaks out the rear timing covers and dissapearing coolant. But as long as the engine and trans itself is fine, the aluminum s8 body shows no signs of wear, we hope to put another easy 100k miles on it.

Welcome dom great to hear the car is still running strong. These motors and most of the Audi NA motors are strong long runners as long as you follow the maintenance and do the little supporting things that need to be done like carbon clean injector clean fuel system inspections and use a good quality oil

Thanks to all for well wishes. Where do miles go? It has 257K. And soon as I post miles here, problems. Think narrowed down to HHFP, low resistance, shorting out. But I always enjoyed turning wrenches but enjoy even more on these cars. I replaced Intake Manifold (from JHM no spacers) around 230K, did carbon clean, valve cover gaskets, O-Rings oil cooler and oil filter mount under intake, radiator last fall, 2 PCV oil seperators, and coil packs once etc. replaced all front end control arms, both air bag sensors and sure I forgot some stuff.
I do have small oil leak front again and maybe leak from transfer case or trans, not sure yet but small amounts. Will address after this latest issue with fuel pump.
But all in all if cars are your passion or just hobby, these Audis are fun car to own and drive.

That’s great that you only list the “normal” maintenance-type items. I think posts like these are important to demonstrate, at least anecdotally, that these cars can be reliable over the long haul. Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you did a good chunk of the top maintenance work. Generally misfires after all the parts you replaced tends to be injectors. They almost are always the biggest source of misfires. Not saying it can’t be your HPFP as many have seen issues with those as well. Just giving some perspective

Thanks justincredible for input. Its blowing fuse S5 on startup. Then a bunch of codes. Disconnect HPFP doesn’t blow. Swap pumps and problem moved. Sure this is for another place in forums but wanted to pass on my experience. Will know 20 minutes after I get pump next day or 2. Fingers crossed

WOW great job doing the investigation and getting to the route cause of it. Its the winding in the HPFP that goes bad. Sounds like yours is beyond repair if its blowing fuses.

Anyone have 300k miles yet?

That would be amazing in any modern car! But, I think this one could be the type to make it.

My goal is make it to 150k, which would be about another ~2.5 years at my current ~13k/yr pace.

I wonder what parts availability will look like in another 5 years…we’ll all probably be scrounging around for parts off of salvage cars.

This Car will do 500k it’s really not that complicated. Yes To junkyards though, and Parts cars lol
