How to install new windshield washer reservoir correctly?

So I have searched and googled. I can not find work instructions on how to get the plastic hose that goes from the inside of the car from the inner firewall to screw into the washer reservoir. I have purchased a new o-ring (#11 in diagram) and want it to seal nicely.

I have tried for an hour+ and I see no way of doing it. Do I need to remove the ecu colored plugs and air tight chamber on that is on the firewall / drivers side in order to “screw and lock” this plastic tube into the reservoir?

It appears that in order for it to be installed it needs to pushed into the reservoir about 1" and twist 45Deg to lock it in place. I cant figure it out, no space to do anything lol

No help ;D, but I did replace #12. That was a chore as well.

Defiantly not the most enjoyable experience. After removing the ECU wire box for more access and a few relays; I ended up determining that the bottle “hole” was too far from the “peg / tube” I think it was tinkered with before and installed incorrectly causing the bottle to be suppressed a bit more than it should have been.

I ended up taking a small blow torch to the bottle to bring the mounting hole out about 1/4" more, sealed up any melted holes with JB water weld. Then as my GF slowly twisted #8 back Clock Wise, I used some trim install pieces to work the pipe into the bottle until till it turned clicked into place. Had to oil the new and larger o-ring a little bit to make it fit. Very tedious but done.

Hope it stops the leak when full… I dont want to do this again

Well, that certainly looks like a pain in the ass… lol

Filled it to the cap, no more leak!
