Not even close. It’s a sully guess with no basis in fact. They have to fill pages with this shit .
" The U.S. should expect to receive a very similar lineup to what we see today: the 2.0-liter turbo four, the 3.0-liter supercharged V-6, and maybe a twin-turbo V-8 should Audi decide to resurrect the RS4 on our shores. "
As much as we all want the 4.0TT in the next RS4, I don’t see it happening. If they want to compete with BMW they better use a lighter 5 or 6 cylinder TT setup. BMW’s next M3/M4 will have an I6 biturbo engine, along with some lightweight parts the car will weight 200lbs less than the outgoing E9x models.
I replied to this on AZ earlier yesterday… It’s not feasible. Someone posted a very technical review of the RS7 on a local facebook group and it detailed all the changes audi had to make just to get the engine into the C7 chassis. No way they can properly get it into the RS4. If anything it will come in the form of a TT v6, which is the way everyone is slowly going anyways.
In dry/sporting conditions I’m not very partial to the way Haldex feels compared Torsen…that would be a big downer for the next RS3…and that it will only be available as a sedan
I hope not. I like the engine but don’t want the transverse quattro drivetrain. Give me longitudinal + sport diff/torque vectoring with some sort of high output forced induction engine. Oh, and manual transmission option or at the very least an S-tronic with full manual mode that doesn’t require deactivation of traction control.
I think audi created too many super line cars…I dont think there will be a rs4 for a while…I agree with the 2.5 motor that is a power building goldmine. Right now its only in the tt…or can it be found in other cars…I think its the best S motor to offer
