I guess Revo has DSG software now..

APR should be releasing theirs anytime now too :3 (maybe along with the release of Stage III).

Nice… mentions pulley upgrade at the end as well… Shifts look a little slow/lazy to me but I had to watch it on my phone since I’m in the office…

Oh shit I just noticed that… hm.

Maybe they can actually get customers now.

Will this come with warranty? ;D LOL

Yeah no shit. Love to see how they weazle the warranty language to install a new pulley.

LOL!

I want… a runway to drive on.

me too. Let’s rent one.

Felt the same way. I wonder what the effect is on clutch life. Was expecting a dsg tune to speed the process up, not make it feel like a torque converter auto.

Maybe their tuning philosophy for the TCU is similar to their ECU tunes… which is why it’s slow lol

I’m surprised it has a redline and doesn’t just let you keep going until you shoot the pistons through the block

Is APR really doing a DSG tune??

I was under the impression that they weren’t…

The video doesn’t mention what intake they used since it certainly doesn’t sound stock!

That’s the Stasis Challenge edition

LOL

I finally got around to watching the video. Those are slow shifts for a DSG. I was hoping to pay more attention to the speedometer to see if the needle would slow down during a shift but the video blacked out just at the shift.

Facelifted s5s look so good. Pity they don’t sound as good as the old ones, but damm that car is quick if those numbers they posted are accurate.

Shifts seem a little slower than ones witnessed on GIAC DSG cars, or even stock ones for that matter. 7000 rpm redline, of course.

It has been mentioned a few times on here by Arin that they are working on it… They have it for the TTS in beta mode and who knows maybe for the S4? lol

Has to be a Strat intake, right? And ya what’s up with the slow shifts? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the DSG, performance wise? My stock DSG shifts flawlessly - wouldn’t want to turn it into what’s shown in the video.

Prime - what are you looking for in a DSG tune? I can think of maybe 7200 RPM limit and “real” manual mode. Not sure what else though.

In order of importance and what I told APR when asked(can’t find the email so I hope the order is the same lol)…

  1. higher redline
  2. rpm’s don’t dip after shift
  3. LC that works, ie can cut better 60’s than I do launching off idle
  4. faster shifting
  5. true manual mode, I could care less about bouncing off the limter like others insist the car should do… My car for the most part has this already it just some times it will auto upshift when at partial throttle… if flogging the car it shifts when I pull the paddle or hit redline…
