Especially when I’m the one doing the Killing.
One my way to pick up one of my kids tonight from soccer practice when I get rolled on by a brand new 5.0 Mustang GT, a new Camaro (def the V8) and a dude in a tuned GTI - intake, exhaust whatever… Don’t know what year that car was but it looked fairly new and the turbo whine was prominent.
Anyway, all three of them do a roll by with the classic rev baiting (all of them had exhaust and sounded nice) just egging me on. Well I’m not one to let a good challenge pass me by so I let it rip. Mind you, I am behind all three of them and in Auto Mode. They see me coming, the Camaro looses his shit and miss shifts through at least 2 gears so he is done, the GTI simply can’t hang which leaves the Mustang. He is doing pretty well but I am gaining on him until the light changes to yellow ahead and we have to let off. Perfect. Now I can run these guys from a dig. The Camaro makes it up to the light - Camaro in the left lane, me in the middle, Mustang in the right lane. GTI got stuck behind traffic and is sitting behind us. At this point I am thinking to myself, I am loving this shit!!!
I am now in Manual mode, light changes and BAM, I instantly pull on both cars, the Camaro is just nowhere to be seen (probably busy mis-shifting again) but the Mustang is doing its best to beat me. Sorry, not tonight dude. I pulled a good 2 cars on him and he could not catch me. We get car to car again after I slow down and the dude won’t even look over. Nice!!
All of that with a freaking baby seat in the back. Very impressed with this car and cannot wait to feel what a tune is going to do.
Can’t say it was a great kill after looking up the specs on the coyote car but I still pissed off a brand new Mustang GT owner. ;D
