I love Kill stories

Especially when I’m the one doing the Killing.

One my way to pick up one of my kids tonight from soccer practice when I get rolled on by a brand new 5.0 Mustang GT, a new Camaro (def the V8) and a dude in a tuned GTI - intake, exhaust whatever… Don’t know what year that car was but it looked fairly new and the turbo whine was prominent.

Anyway, all three of them do a roll by with the classic rev baiting (all of them had exhaust and sounded nice) just egging me on. Well I’m not one to let a good challenge pass me by so I let it rip. Mind you, I am behind all three of them and in Auto Mode. They see me coming, the Camaro looses his shit and miss shifts through at least 2 gears so he is done, the GTI simply can’t hang which leaves the Mustang. He is doing pretty well but I am gaining on him until the light changes to yellow ahead and we have to let off. Perfect. Now I can run these guys from a dig. The Camaro makes it up to the light - Camaro in the left lane, me in the middle, Mustang in the right lane. GTI got stuck behind traffic and is sitting behind us. At this point I am thinking to myself, I am loving this shit!!!

I am now in Manual mode, light changes and BAM, I instantly pull on both cars, the Camaro is just nowhere to be seen (probably busy mis-shifting again) but the Mustang is doing its best to beat me. Sorry, not tonight dude. I pulled a good 2 cars on him and he could not catch me. We get car to car again after I slow down and the dude won’t even look over. Nice!!

All of that with a freaking baby seat in the back. Very impressed with this car and cannot wait to feel what a tune is going to do.

Can’t say it was a great kill after looking up the specs on the coyote car but I still pissed off a brand new Mustang GT owner. ;D

0-60 mph: 5.1 seconds
1/4 mile: 13.5 seconds @ 108 mph

New Mustangs are solid. If it was at all molded he would have pulled on you at speed if he can drive. Probably just a cat back.

Put it in drive to race from a dig. Fastest. Just let it shift.

Nice! Mustang would have probably stayed ahead in the roll race… Also, like saki said auto mode from a dig, car is better that way trust me…

^^^don’t put the B7 S4 on there or you get negative karma lol

JK…although I can’t find the video. That was stage 1 for you I believe+catback+lw wheels (not sure about cats or pulley or CPS). I had tune+exhaust. My B7 was basically stock B8 S4 fast (that car went 12.9 @107, so a good proxy to see what your mods were able to do back then vs a proxy for stock) and you put a quick 2.5-3 cars on me from 50-110

Was that the one where you were giggling like a little school girl when you got the hit on the freeway?

I don’t think I would call it giggling like a schoolgirl…

However I did have a good laugh when I jumped it. Had to try something. Got massacred the first time.

The 5.0 should be able to fairly easily take down a stock S4 from either a roll or a dig if it has the factory 3.73s and the driver knows how to shift. Some of them have been in the 12.4x range stock. I’m guessing this one was either slushbox and/or the standard 3.31 or 3.55s

Yeah I was a bit surprised myself.

“Fuckin got me” . Nice!!

Hahahahahah… I never noticed that at the end of the video!

According to Car and Driver:

2011 Mustang GT 5.0

0-60 4.6s
0-100 11.0s
60-130 15.2s
1/4 mile 13.2@109mph

2010 Audi S4 6MT
0-60 4.9s
0-100 12.0s
60-130 16.2s
14 mile 13.4@106mph

which rear end and transmission did the 5.0 have? That makes a BIG difference in times. Check this thread out…

I trapped 120+ but couldn’t run him down. F430 doesn’t have a launch sequence unless it’s a scud.

Yup… Neck and neck… If there was 1,400ft in a 1/4 mile he would have had me… Lucky for me it doesn’t! lol!

Either does my 2010 B8 S4 and it does alright out of the whole ;D Sorry had to… LOL Hope all is well…

Ha! Yeah everything’s awesome. Went back to the bike and found I’m 5 to 10 sec/lap slower than I used to be. Fared better than my bud who broke his collarbone :frowning:

My bike is 16 years old and may be worth about $2000 in its current state (and $1500 of thats in the Penske shock), but would easily do a mid-10 at 130. Puts this all into perspective…
