What’s your S4’s name, do S5 fenders fit an S4, why can’t I rev my car to 7k when parked, car shakes in 1st, can I use leaded gas, my flex pipe is rattling etc…

Yeah it’s true- nobody is representing GIAC at all. I don’t mind posting results but I feel like I’m going to get in a heater argument over there with someone and I rather just avoid that all together so I’m avoiding that site as much as I can… It honestly looks worse than E90 post over there and those guys are clowns.
I find the bimmer forums not too bad to be honest! Well, as long as you’re in the latest model M3/M5 forum. if you’re in the 3 series forum for the car that launched 4 years ago (a.k.a. the car that is now $19,000) or the forum for 2 generations old M3s, yeah, you get lots of morons and kids who know nothing.
Overall I don’t find them nearly as bad as the Audi forums.
The E9X 335i forum was the one I was really eluding too which is very similar to the B8 S4 forum. It’s a shame bc both are such great cars but a lot of misinformation going around.
FWIW you’re pretty well respected there, if you organized a drag outing from AZ or whatever you’d probably have a big crowd, and have a few people wanting to swing from your nuts LOL.
I’m surprised GIAC isn’t taking more advantage of you and the exposure, like Sak said. They should throw AWE parts for you and Tsivas’ late-night tests.
They’re really cool guys, just wish AWE and GIAC were in the same state- I’d without a doubt be down there testing and custom tuning. I put it out there, they know I’m down to test new stuff hopefully I get an email one of these days to test new products.
I would love to set up a track day but all the people that claim they’re in usually back out.
Good thing is that we have almost every tune to our disposal locally so if we all go out together we’ll get a nice outing.

Pete, I agree with J you are well respected over there and as long as the vendors and site secretaries don’t mess with you than why not post? Just ignore the well_armed, westwest, etc. characters… If they hadn’t screened my PM’s, deleted ones that weren’t related to paddles, and then lied about it I would still post there…

Ya AW has lost all relevancy, and QW (the B8 S4 section) is basically just a handful of regulars who make small talk with each other. I remain on AZ just for the sheer amount of traffic they get - any major product release will be on there as well. So even if you don’t participate, you’re sort of compelled to at least follow the action on AZ.

that’s the frigging truth. Understandable though…the dragstrip is
a) far - almost nobody lives near the dragstrip as they’re usually in the middle of nowhere
b) time consuming
c) intimidating

Gotta love that Hawaii guy. However he does make a good point. Lots of people are saying ‘so and so blew up so many motors’ but there was no proof of any claims, just forum lore. He was a bit of a cock about how he went about asking for it.
He ought to have said ‘thanks for the input. Can you show me something that proves that in writing on a forum or something? I’d like to see more info’. Instead he went mental lol.
