I went to waterfest, but I didn't track my car!

I got there at about 2:30 as always. I am always late. I left my house at around 12:00 and ran into so much traffic. My car wasn’t running right, but I wanted to run my car so bad. I was looking forward to a 13 sec pass in my backyard built 1996 audi a4 single turbo 2.8

I left at around 4 after I witnessed with my own eyes a very fast vw gti, or golf that went about 9.7 at around 150 something mph. That car was and is fast.

On my way home 2 s4’s pulled next to me on the Jersey turnpike, one yellow and the other white with a carbon fiber black painted hood. I told the yellow one to give it gas, he down shifted and we pressed. we did 2 pulls, then his friend pulled next to me. I told him to give it gas and whatever he had to offer me. We did 2 pull and then he asked me if I was driving a 1.8t. The passenger in my car told him that My car was a 2.8 because it truly is.

The guy in the yellow s4 said that he has frank’n turbo’s and that his friend in the white s4 has Ko4’s with a J-fonz tune and that he ran 12.8 at the track prior to our encounter.

Just wanted to say that I had a little fun know matter what the outcome.

Nice post, glad you had a good time.

Thanks. Also after the 1 pull with the white s4, the driver said that he was having problems with his trans. Thanks again.

Did you beat one of them or did they win?

Was it a million degrees at the strip as usual?

i was there saturday but not sunday, too bad i heard sunday was a better day we could have linked up i wouldnt have mind checking out the car bro.

Sakimano: Weather surprisingly wasnt the usual 100+. It was hot but not bad. good weather

That’s good to hear. Seems like the times run are always impaired because of the DA being retarded.

Did you get a few passes in? See anyone do anything interesting in their Audis (good or bad)?

I tried to go Saturday, but for some strange reason parts on my car always seem to break weeks before an event. I’ve always had some major problems with my car, but I sometimes bandage them to have fun. I like fast cars and I know yours fall in that category. I would love to have seen your car in action. Maybe next time things will fall in place.

Two friends of mine were running pretty well this weekend, Timmy in the Blue VR6 Mk3, and Todd in the black 1.8T mk3, but were in the high 9’s to low 10’s, and both are over 150. There’s a lot of work and tuning put into both of those cars, and they fair pretty well in the SFWD class at many events, too bad the hondas are running so damn fast these days. I didn’t hear about any audi’s really, I saw a picture of a couple S4’s in the staging lanes though. My buddy aaron, just went 9.5X@150+ in his coupe quattro with an off the shelf 2.0l IE stroker motor, and a borg warner 67mm. Me and him have been working on a lot of shit long distance with each other, so I’m pretty psyched to see that car going faster and faster. He puts in a lot of work and deserves it. I haven’t heard much more about wateriest really, If anyone has any other updates, I’d like to hear.

so the only S4 (B5/6/7/8) times we have heard of are a 12.8 @ ??? for a stage III car with jfonz FT. I figured there would be a couple of dozen times to add to the database. Hopefully they trickle in.

The white s4 had ko4’s. The yellow s4 had ft. I forgot the tune he had.

A honda in the SFWD class just went 8.30s at 190mph yes 190!!! i cant believe that out of a B series

i lined up beside one a few years ago at the strip…it was mental. The noise it made when he was waiting for the lights was overwhelming. Thought it was going to explode.

He ran 8.something @ 175 or so. I wasn’t even through the 1/8th and I was reading his full ET/MPH clocks lol. It was pretty wild…

I’m pretty sure you’re talking about Speed factory’s (James’) civic, it isn’t a SFWD car, it’s actually a Outlaw FWD car… It went 8.38@190. Outlaw can run one piece front ends, air/water IC’s, and can run up to a 72mm turbo. SFWD cars can only run wider fenders, no one piece noses, air/air ic’s, and up to 67mm on 4 bangers… They are more geared towards street car type builds. There are at least 3-4 B series outlaw cars right around the mid 8 sec range, my favorite is Tony Palo’s integra, that build has such attention to detail its amazing. Speed factory’s car is nuts, it will only be going faster. Its nice to see someone pushing the bar after a few years of nothing new since Miller set it. Crazy shit!

That’s fucking nuts. Love it, balls out 1/4 mile-ing!

Yeah, the k04 white s4 made two passes.
1st 60’ was 1.8
2nd 60’ was like 4 seconds lol.

We tuned it last weekend, and it is beastly for a 93+meth car.
we blew the vast stg 3 clutch out on the second pull.
he threw an rs4 clutch in it that he had laying around for the show and blew it out by 3rd gear on his first pass.
I’m really looking forward to seeing some more passes out of that car.
I’ll ask for the slips to get added to the database.

14 sec single turbo cars rule, but that’s not important. I would love to meet up and chat with the two of them. They seem pretty cool.

2nd. Did I miss it in the thread somewhere?

he’s being rather vague

JOSH - what’s the scoop?

Idk I’m just reading about it here… I’m sure he won, that car was limping, He’s just being nice about it

A little boring this year to be honest man… It was weird. You’re probably not into the big name vendors that usually show up but AWE didn’t come this year, among a few others that you usually see. The only fast cars were the VW’s that you mentioned, they were sick to watch.

In your opinion what is a better night to go for a TnT at Etown? Weds? A few buddies want to go down I told them we can try to link up with you when you.
