Hey everyone after a three year vaca. From audis “worst decision ever” I’m back.
A little background if you don’t know me I had a b6 s4 with a slew of JHM parts and ran 11.83 in the 1/4 mile. I can get more in detail if needed but whatever.
So I’m buying a 07 Daytona grey RS4 my dream car in the next couple of weeks then to start modding first will be stance related air ride and a nice set of wheels. Nothing crazy then I’ll go on to performance and get all the supporting mods for the blower kit from JHM out of the way and and then the blower but hey it will be fun lol

And ways I’m back and glad to back

Wow I do remember you. Great to have you back.

The same path that got you great results with the S4 will deffinetly be the best path with the RS4. JHM is still making the 4.2 faster and faster and has some of the best parts in the biz.

When you get the RS4 make sure to check in. A lot has been found out about the RS4 over the past 3 years since you have been gone and there are several maintantence things your going to want to do before you dig in too far.

As you mentioned the ability to buy some of the JHM supercharger supporting parts like pulleys and a few other parts is great. And since the jhm blower kit is clearly dominate still and has many stages it will be interesting and fun to see more and more people getting into the stage 1+

I would love to hear the story on what you sold your last audi for and what you have been up to car wise the last 3 years. your return post has gained my interest in what has happened

Thanks man the car was for sale but a divorce changed that I needed the car so I kept it. But later that year in the winter the city was plowing the streets.awesome except the fact the the plow driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt and hit a water main in the rad the little inspection cover pulled it up and smashed his face into the winshield. true story lol so they cleanup the mess except the main cover and I hit it and took some chunks out of the trans fins the heat shielding and bent my down pipe a bit. Called insurance the whole nine and stopped at a shop to get the whole scoop. Which uncovers that I broke the trans mount as well. :frowning: things were looking pretty shitty at this point. I bought a new trans mount and fixed the exhaust to keep going. About two months later I got hit and run in my neighborhood and that called it for my car the insurance totaled it out and I was to be honest heart broken.

My awesome girlfriend was there to say goodbye with me. So I needed a car as I was working so I bought a 2000 civic si with a vortech blower. That’s a fun car but not an S4. But I liked it while the Audi was refined fast this was insanity on wheels now I know everyone will hate because it was a Honda but what makes a Honda fun is revving to 9k you just wish there was power there. With the blower it was 335hp 2800lbs rocket that would spin at 8k in second. Ahhh just a fun car but that came to a stop when i poped the sleave racing a 370z. So I set off to break some more records the highest ho vortech car made like 420hp at 15psi. I already made 18.5psi just needed more liters so I built a 2.1L high compression. I honestly was about to make like 550hp+ but as the story goes. The shop building my motor caught fire and my motor got stolen. So at that point I tossed the towel in and moved to Florida.

I bought a Harley to get to and from and looked at every S4/RS4 that came through to a dealer looking for the next one. And I found it I should be getting everything I need to buy in a few weeks

You are right…no one cares! No…just kidding! I am jealous of your soon to be RS4 I look forward to many progress pics as the mods commence.

WOW that was a story. Sucks to hear about how everything played out but if you think about it… it might be working out to a better siuation. After all if you liked the 9k of the honda the 8200 of the RS4 is able to come close to that RPM wise and add a JHM blower to the RS4 and your really in a good spot HP wise. Not too many cars will be able to keep up with you there. And lets face is a RS4 or any supercharged Audi V8 is just plain cool

Welcome back as well. Sorry to hear about the shitty series of events, but if it put you back into the driver’s seat of an RS4, it must of all worked out. The RS4 should be a ton of fun, granted not nearly as light, and obviously something you’ll probably enjoy for a long time.

Post up some pics of the previous builds or anything fun that’s happened in the meantime.

Hey your not far from my dad. If you ever need to do maintenance let me know. He is fininshing up opening a DIY shop on his property. He has two garages. One is smaller 1.5 car garage with a lift and the other is a 4 car garage with 4 lifts. He has pretty much every tool known to man and loves helping out people.

We pulled his engine and DSG on his TTS, rebuilt the DSG and put on a Stage 3 integrated Engineering kit in 3 days. He is in Lakeland FL. He works out of Orlando though.

Welcome back. That 4.2 is too awesome to stay away from :wink: I remember yours and euroswaggrs quest for the 12s thread haha what a blast from the past. Anyways congrats on a new toy. Pix are a must of course once you’ll rceive it in your possession or it’s a prius ;D ;D ;D

MR wrong is so right again. The quest for the 12s will now be on with the RS4 and I think we need to get ryan to get the new car to the track just to make sure he can pick up where he left off with his S4… And yes pictures or this talk is just water… I want to make sure your not just putting audi badges on a prius

Okay so here’s an update the car sold the day before I got there :’( so now I’m looking again. Knowing how hard they are to find I’m going to go anywhere in the US to find her. So the search continues sadly.

And yes there will be lots modding I’m so excited.
