So today when I got in my car I heard a ticking when I turned on the car. I’m almost sure it came from the fuel pump and then i went to turn on my A/c and it didnt work!!! WTF!!! My car is like jinxed!!! I blew my axle 2 weeks ago and the other week my Short shifter got loose!! go figure!! I think its time to go!!!
Climb under the car and jiggle the shaft that drives the AC compressor. I know something that has to do with the shaft is know to snap on S4’s. Could be a simple fix
just messin. Hope your car behaves a little better. Bottom line is for $15,000 car its a whole lot of car. The other options are brand new Scion, 2 year old Civic or 5 year old Camry. I think I’d take the headaches and keep the 8 year old B6 S4.
I’ll trade you those issues for the ones my car has had anyday of the week.
Last year - needed a new bank 1 cylinder head.
This year - bank 2 camshaft adjuster went bad
Not to mention a slew of other issues I’ve had.
I’d say take it back to the dealer that did the work and have them check everything out. Insist that it’s on their dime, especially if it comes back that it’s related to the same thing they just touched.
It was the Audi dealership and they suck! whatever just spoke to my mechanic and he said that the AC was probably not charged since the engine swap. . . Not sure what that means???
I still have it. I don’t drive it much anymore unfortunately with the new job and side business ever growing. I’ve been thinking of parting ways but that’s a tough pill to swallow considering how long I’ve owned it. It costs me nothing to run, I just feel bad looking at it sit there.
Don’t Audi do custom/exclusive colours? Sure it’s $$$ but the B8 would look very nice in Nog Blue IMO. I think the B8 presents an excellent value proposition, especially if you’re willing to get a tune. It’s a whole lot of car for the money.
