In Mercedes V8TT news...

This new 4matic setup plus an ECU tune and an exhaust it will be nutty. Now that traction isn’t as much of an issue this thing will be laying up 10’s without even breaking a sweat. They are doing low 11’s now with just a tune.

The wagen will get an LSD as well given it’s S level trim.

I had no idea on the volume Audi were doing. The 400,000 cars in China were built in China, including a LWB A4! http://www.audi.com/cn/brand/en/models/a4/a4l.html

Now where did I read that Audi might set up a factory in North America? Merc already do that with the ML and GLK series.

Apparently Audi is talking about shifting Q5 production to Mexico.

Meh, on the E63. I was super excited when I read that the wagon is coming earlier today, but I’d have to try one to see if they make it any different - but by any indication the throttle response is ever slower than the outgoing 6.2, which really destroys any fun you can have behind the wheel. The only fun will be watching the speedo needle climb on highway pulls.

I drive an S65 a few weeks a year, yes, 600 hp, 738 ft-lbs. Frankly, it’s boring, and too cushy. The RWD isn’t ever a problem, it may be the only fun thing about the car, that you can see the yellow “!” light up if you mash it at at 60 mph. The kids like it like they like the S600 at home, there’s lots of room in the back, and Daddy can show them the (5?) dollar bill trick, which only works so long as they wait on my one-Mississippi count after I hit the gas.

The only “drivers” Mercedes I’ve tried in the last 5 years has been the C63. And I saw a CLK63 BS last week in FL, wow, those look the business - couldn’t help myself but take a pic.

That E63 is once of the ugliest wagons i have seen in twenty years.

A recent review of the AMG driving school in the globe mentioned that the throttle response wasn’t awesome on the turbo AMG cars (E63, CLS63, E63 wagon…all biturbo). The C63 and SLS with the NA V8 were deemed far better suited for fun sporty driving.

I like the styling:

I agree, from the front it is alright until the lower valence. However, from the side its fat saggy ass begins to show. Then the full frontal from behind is hideous!!

I like big butts and I cannot lie…
