Where does the air intake strainer go in the air duct system?

that look like the snow filter, which would sit the the intake duct from the front grill to the airbox. general consensus is that it is not needed.
If you want to use it (I always remove them) it goes like beem said it goes at the top of the air box where the ram snorkel comes in. If you need direction I cam try to load a picture. They cause more issues then they solve. They tend to get clogged. Generally the stuff it would catch just sits in the bottom of the air box.
