I have made a few posts here and there on AR, but figured since I hit the dragstrip today for the first time ever it seems like a good excuse for a formal intro and to post some timeslips (even if they scream noob).
Always been a huge mustang and audi fan. Had 4 mustangs including a 2000 GT vert, a 2002 Audi A6 2.7 6MT that I loved. Only ever got around to doing some minor mods on the GT, but that’s about it. Due to kids, commute, etc I made the mistake of getting rid of A6 for a Jetta commuter car. Well after almost 7 years of that I decided it was time to go back to something more fun with the intent of actually going to a track vs just talking about it and actually doing some real mods down the road. Ended up with a 2014 S4 6MT loaded.
Well this weekend JimmyBones was nice enough to let me tag along with him to the MIR dragstrip. Thanks to him and some great info posted here I had a blast and will totally be going back again.
Made 7 runs (a couple were really bad), but learned a lot. (Car #1379)
My best run was ET 13.284 @ 104.11 with a 1.869 60’
Car is bone stock with 1200 miles on it, 174lbs driver and I didn’t bother taking the spare out this go round.
