Next spring I will pull the engine to replace some parts and fix oil leaks, and while it is out, I was wondering if it it worthwhile to do a timing job, replace chains and guides, as I have no idea when was the last time it has been done. The v10 doesnt have any timing issue as I can see, but if it has been a while since the last timing job, some slight chain stretching may be a possibility no?

I"ve seen some motors with almost 200k and In that and the other general seeing of the 5.2. I don’t know that I’ve heard or seen any timing issues. Don’t get me wrong the 5.2 has a nice long list of other issues but I’ve not seeing timing being one of them.
It might be worth just pulling the back covers off and having a good look but timing stretch is more rare on these lower reving motors.
