Maybe they can stand out when they are a legit company and keep their name longer than 6 months. Until then anyone who experiments with them will likely end up like you (switching to someone who knows what they are doing) or worse.
Looks like a fellow local to me may jump on this tune… I sent him a PM letting him know I’d be more than willing to do some strip testing with vids for the forums this spring… Also, offered up any vag com mods he’d like… Will see what he says…

I said it before thus kind of stuff is just reducing his credibility. If your best results are from b5 guys jumping in or that’s the best thing you have to offer your already sunk. Having people with no credibility try to give credible feedback is just showing more and more why you don’t want to use these guys. Then really stupid statements like the majority statement keep capping off the other points.
yes i would say i wasted my money by getting the apr tune, i made the same amount of power with both and the car doesnt feel any different except a higher rpm launch…

Nah that would blow their cover on these stellar dynos and “customer” review… Lets have my tuner post as the shop and I’ll post as the customer… wow just wow… The Cleveland fellow will not be going with their tune… Between what has been posted and what I told him he is going to go APR or GIAC, and he’s a 6-speed so even if he went with them and we raced I know the excuse would be “he can’t drive”… Solo = a bunch of good guys! Obviously they want to drum up some business an seeing as most of the people on the B8 S4 forum will throw money at a wet paper bag I see them getting some business regardless of 1/4 mile times or not.
d.p., agreed… I just think it’s shitty and in the long run why the “tuner” has changed places/names a few times in the last year… Look no further than a few posts up, IE Saxon, he went EPL “custom” and basically wasted money since he switched to APR, although he seems to be in denial of some suffering some form of cognitive dissonance… Overall just a pretty shitty way for them to conduct themselves and of course Toni lets them get away with it since the $'s rule… Wonder whatever happened with his review of OEM+? LOL
I am not familiar with jfonz or the history of solo but I am interested in some competitive pricing for ECU tunes on the B8 S4 platform. Without saxon I doubt anyone would have ever gotten an EPL tune. It seemed like he was the one and only guy with it and seemed to be championing them fairly hard. Now with Solo and Unitronic providing tunes (regardless of their 1/4 or dyno numbers) I would hope that competition would bring the price down. It doesn’t matter for me because I already have one but the price for them is obscene. Not to mention I would want nothing more than the ability to flash at home but I doubt I will ever see that in my lifetime.
As far as Audizine goes we all know Anthony caters to the vendors and its been that way since I originally signed up. Its unfortunate but that forum has the most traffic in regards to the current platform but it is what it is. That oemplus nonsense is laughable but unfortunately par for the course over there.
d.p., I hear you… As for EPL, no one would get it and shouldn’t because it’s not very good as Saxon’s times with it and with APR proved… The same will happen with Solo/Jfonz/Rabbit or whatever they go by next week… EPL was what 4 years to market after APR and 2.5+ after GIAC… For me I’m not as price concious as others I care more about inovation and improvements… APR used to do that for us and I believe GIAC still does so that’s where my future $‘s will go if APR doesn’t have anything new by spring… Id’ rather pay $500 more but get something that performs at peak levels and is reliable with good support…
As for Vendorzine I hear you on the traffic but most of that traffic is just noise IMO… Don’t get me wrong I spend too much time reading over there but it’s more entertainment… Toni thinks he can control people because of his “power” on that site so after what he did to me and then lied about it I’ll continue to tell the truth about them and while it probably doesn’t hurt them it makes me feel better! LOL Besides if I help a few folks not make bad decisions then it’s worth the time and effort and we end up getting the good folks over here anyway…
