Not only that but look at the morons in that thread. Patting him on the back for fixing his car… Not even noticing that a shop called out everyone to race for $500 and then backtracked like crazy…and on top of this, there are people talking about how they can’t wait to buy the tune.
If you read even half of that thread and you have half a brain, it should tell you that it is time to eliminate jconz and Stealo Motorsports from any consideration when choosing a tune provider. You don’t fucking throw money at them.

Thats what happened with EPL, and as we told everyone, and as everyone now all knows, that company’s B8 shit just flat doesn’t work. It took 2 customers losing a couple grand first though.
Same thing with jcon. The one guy is in there saying how fast the car is. That’s his but t dyno. Reality is, it’s his money dyno. When you spend d thousands of dollars the hole j your wallet tells you it was worth it. Look at richi saying his car pulled like a freight train after going stage 3, only to find out he’s actually pulling like a stage 1. You can never listen to the guy selling the stuff or the guy buying the stuff. You need a timeslip.
Couldn’t agree with this more…I am still not tuned and was on the shelf with EPL and Solo just because of the convince of tuning from home but because of this forum and that thread I have decided to go with GIAC when they have their holiday sale. I have always been one to try and support small business and give the little buy a chance when competing with large companies such as APR or GIAC but there is just too much data against and BS from these small companies to warrant me giving them my $$ and business…appreciate all the information sharing and support that comes from the users here

jconz used to PM me all the time about adding their various B5 S4 times etc. so josh is well aware of our list (and what you ran). They were shooting their gums saying they’d crush the fastest S4, and then backtracked and pretended they were willing to race your 12 second S4.

Don’t worry they won’t race or post times. I don’t see without significant fuel system upgrades how an e85 tune will do a lot better than a pump or race tune. E85 to make lots of power requires more volume from tank to combustion chamber
You really have to do your homework, and be patient. When I bought a B7 S4, I almost bought a GIAC tune and milltek exhaust because everyone said it was great. Once I started looking for actual quarter mile results, I saw that the GIAC and APR tuned cars were not much faster than stock. These were the two biggest Audi tuners in the world…and they couldn’t make the cars faster for hundreds / thousands of dollars? What the hell?
THen JHM showed up. They were a tiny little 4 man company in California…and they had a tune/exhaust/downpipes/rotors/lw crank pulley/intake spacers…all kinds of parts for us. Then they started posting 1/4 mile times that were 4-5 tenths and 4-5 MPH faster than APR and GIAC…in other words 40-50 hp stronger
So you never know…the little guys sometimes do great things.

The issue you might hit would be injector duty cycle%. I know FSI is different; but whenever I have seen vehicles properly modded for E85 the injector volume size is much larger, and the in tank pump can flow more volume and then you have bigger feed and return (depending on FI setup not all have it) lines. I know you can compensate for volume with a raised fuel pressure, but still E85 setups need way more volume because of energy output vs 93 Pump gas is lower for the same volume. What do you think?
