JHM B6 b7 s4 supercharged stage 2

You’re right, about 3.6 seconds.

Haha thanks columbo. JHM EXPOSEF

apparently it was another JHM drag night at Sac. A bunch of Audis were out including a couple of the JHM A4s. Someone said there was an RS6 there too, but not sure what was done to it. JHM was testing a tip file on a B7 S4 with a supercharger.

I haven’t heard much in the way of times other than the supercharged tip car (and it was impressive)

Awesome stuff JHM, looking forward to seeing this really breaking some records (well, breaking all your own records I guess lol!).

i know everything that happened , i was there:)

JHM SCed B7 S4 Tip w/JHM TCU tune VS JHM SCed RS4

[QUOTE=10MPG]Here’s a bootleg video to get the weekend started - Far lane is the proof that the TCU unicorn does exist

Oh snap is it 10mpg’s car? Wow he still has it. Very nice.

He was one of the first guys with headers back in the day.

It went 12.1 @ 115!

Wow 12.1 @ 115 he is a stage 1 guy right. That’s awesome and the rs4 looked like he was right there with him other then spinning real bad off the line.

Yup the white B7 S4 is 10MPG’s and Imola Yellow RS4 is denrs4’s
IIRC 10MPG is still Stage 1 indeed. Hopefully we’ll have more info on the runs along with some timeslips to add to the list.

I would love to hear more and see the slips.

The thing that’s great is the jhm stage 1 kits keep showing how great they really are. When a automatic S4 goes 12.1@115 there isn’t much room for the great driver debate. That’s a solid performance and the automatic cars still have the reduced rpm throttle on the S4. I love my jhm nitrous kit but the jhm blower kits are looking more and more exciting to me.

Gents - been a while and I hope everyone is doing well outside of the forum world.

Yes I still have the car but I think the guys at JHM see it a lil more than I do these days as it’s been there since December having the TCU tune worked out amongst couple other very minor stuff.

Looks like you guys are pretty quick on the news wire and it did manage to pull a 12.11 @ 115.36 (time slip below)

My understanding is that with this latest revision of the TCU tune (still not finished), it has much firmer shifts so now JHM is not limiting the ECU tune any more to save the trans from sliding and it shifts about 300 rpm higher to take advantage of the blower as well… and it still have some room for more. We all believe that it definitely can break 12s on a cooler night… and maybe if I take the bike rack off

Anyways, I think this is pretty exciting stuff for the B7 communities and I hope that everyone will appreciate the hard work that the JHM team has put into yet another new offering of the platform.

Glad to hear you joined and chiming in. Yeah, you definitely could break into 11s with your beast! Exciting to see some decent #s in B6/7 S4 world, since it’s been somewhat quite for a while. Have you decided to keep the beast?

I was talking to Dan and he’s in love with the tip B7. Good stuff.

I will add it to the list.

Any chance you know

octane
exhaust
LW parts (looked like a LW hood)

Thanks all - still unsure I’ll keep the car at this point, I just might change my mind after getting the car back with the new tune

Saki - On octane AFAIK it was a 91 mix to make ~93. Weight-wise I do have a CF hood, front+rear JHM BBK, lightweight battery, I guess fairly light 19" wheels (~19lbs ea)?

Yea guys my engagement w the 5R clutch wasnt very easy, i was spinning at first gear when i let it go the clutch and i kept missing the 3th gear here and
There, and also i think going down the track w my after market wheels wasn’t a very good ideia, 19x10 w 275 v12 tires, my best time was 12.4 and i think if i run my stock wheels w some more soft rubber tires i will go 12 sec or under, but I need to practice my launch w the 5R clutch kit!im happy over all, i will try again w my stock wheels on and also im going to work on my launch!:)one thing for sure the 5R JHM clutch did not slip at all:)

Wow. almost cracking 11s on stage 1 tip, didnt expect that.

the wheels probably weren’t hurting much. They’re reasonably light for their size.

Don’t you have a tune with launch assist? Talk to Kurt. You need that.

Post a couple of your timeslips please. Would like to see them.

10MPG, that pass is great man. It is really good to see such a low 12 second pass with an automatic S4.

If you were not icing the intake manifold between runs then I would start. These cars really like a cool intake manifold. It is hard to cool off the SC on a B7 but if you can get some ice down there then that helps too.

Denis, I wouldn’t worry about the wider wheels and tires. What RPMs were you leaving at? Saki makes a good point about getting Kurt to get you launch assist. I love it in my car and it should have come with the tune originally in my opinion.

If you have a vagcom or someone locally will let you borrow one then I would log how long it takes you to shift. A few people had me look at that and they pointed out that I needed to improve there. Make sure to have the turbo button pushed to get more accurate readings.

EDIT: Denis, you have the JHM STS right? What reverse push down spring are you running? I had to switch to the stiffest gold spring because I kept pushing down when shifting, especially from second to third.

thanks for all the tips, and yea i have jhm trio,so i do have the launch control, but Dan was telling me at the day that i should feather the gas pedal a bit more and not push the pedal all the way to the bottom when launching, that way i would not spin and i would have a better kick, that day also the track wasn’t very well prepared, and it rained very light, but if i get my launch better i will go 12 and under, and thats my second time dragging my car, the first time i did was about 1 year 1/2 ago and i only went once because I blew my clutch on the first run!ill get it:)

Kickass times!
