Cable is a work. I’ll see if I find any codes, clear them, test LA, and post results tomorrow or sat.
well I wonder if CV has LA set up to be disabled if there are certain DTCs
^^^there are a bunch of safety things surrounding LA so I think you have probably hit it on the head.
Wonder what the codes were for? He probably had a code or two from pulling his ECU and disconnecting his battery etc.
UPDATE
Scanned car. No engine DTCs. 1 DTC for intermittent short in the brake switch. Cleared code. Still no LA. Awaiting an email from Keaton on whether it was included in my recent tune. Logging tomorrow…hopefully. Effing snow.
I have yet to have luck getting back in touch with my mechanic. Like I mentioned he is a 1 man shop, owns a drag race car, a 675 HP Porsche twin turbo, an S4, diesel truck and works on clients cars… He is a busy man building/working on cars to say the least. If I have time, I will swing by and ask him in person. He get’s so into his builds that he stops answering the phone sometimes.
just go log your car (or just plug in vagcom) and look at your box code for the ECU. It will say LA on it if you have LA I believe.
