JHM RS4 Exhaust officially released

JHM has been contacting people about their RS4 exhaust and downpipes lately…it’s finally ready for sale.

Good move to call the guys who were on the list first…they’ve been waiting a long frigging time.

Anyway, here are some pics. Look at those awful jagged bends. Oh wait, no…opposite. Looks how smoothely it flows. Great design. Makes you wonder what some of the other guys are thinking when they design an exhaust.

x-pipe in proper, calculated location (rather than ‘as long as it’s equidistant from the 2 banks, you’re good’)? check

Finally! I just noticed they have rs4 tuning available now as well. Upgrade time saki!

Hopefully this doesn’t mean they will start releasing 3.0 hardware before I sell my car or I might be forced to keep it :stuck_out_tongue:

hey, that xpipe looks familiar…

I like the J-pipes for the rear O2 sensors, it would be nice to not have to deal with the sensors facing each other

They’re also offering (special order)v-band options to allow quick swap between the cats and testpipes.

That is a grfet Idae. It would be cool to see that on other exausts as well.

wonder how easy that would be. Would that section incorporate the flex joint as well? Must be an expensive add on.

All I have to say is that after this release and the Tune release…there are going to be some nasty RS4s out there.

I vote that Saki gets the exhaust and tune and tries to break 11s on pump…NA

I have 2.75" JHM exhaust (catted downpipes + catback) in my basement in a box.
I have a JHM tuning cable too.

It’s tempting!

Mistro just came over and used my cable to tune his car. He had piggies + intake spacers + Hpipe + coilovers and went 12.4 @ 113 last year in -1000 feet of density altitude.

With the tune, and launch assist…who knows! I’d like to slap my exhaust on his car just for a weekend to see it kick some ass.

Wow man, I envy your strength to fight the urge. I am already set to tune my F150 and put downpipes on it after I sell the S4. That stuff wouldn’t last a week in my basement.

That is some serious self control. I would have to bar and chain the basement door and give someone the key to avoid… accidentally… putting it on and getting the ecu flashed.

Damn that thing is nice. There should be a lot of used RS4 exhausts available in the near future.

I’ve had the exhaust and tune longer than Saki sitting in boxes in my garage. I have the cable for flashing as well. I even had the tune on my car for a while when I had catless OEM dp’s. I flashed back to stock for some warranty work and have been stock since. Trust me, it is TORTURE. The good news is I will be installing everything I have in my garage in boxes right around March 1st.

Btw flashing back to stock and back to tune again - do you end up needing to have 2/3 flash credits?

that’s an awesome goal. Seems ridiculous if you think back 18 months…there was no hope for this platform before that first JHM RS4 video launched with Dan running 12.40 @ 110. Before that, there was literally no progress (unless you count the 12.5 @ 110 PES supercharged times). Now we’re talking 11s all motor, and nobody is laughing or scoffing. Well…that’s a lie I know some people who will. Those people still think the car runs mid 13s, doesn’t respond to mods, and loses 80 hp every year to carbon.

Wow that looks so good in debating going back again… The car def felt more powerful with the full jhm exhaust than with my full milltek…

the tips were the only complaint I had, just personal pref I would rather have a rolled edge. But I give credit to jhm for being different than everyone else. Otherwise the tips are def top quality.

the only other thing is the sound, I know jhm advised against non resonated, but I have a feeling if my previous jhm exhaust wasn’t resonated I would’ve enjoyed the note better. I thought the resonated version was too smooth… But that’s just my taste, its not a DD for me so I can live with something louder.

will jhm eventually post res vs non-res videos so we can get a better idea of the sound?

guys I know I look like an ass for ditching the jhm exhaust n tune and now wanting it back… We all make mistakes right?
