Yes, we will probably head to a couple wednesday night fun drags on just 91 until the weather cools down this fall and go for a deeper 10 sec pass with race gas. Throttle body issues have been corrected, was actually an ecu tb driver issue that killed the tb itself, long story…

Not at this point but we may take it over to 034 when we have some time.

We normally do not share our logs or even do FATS times. We calculate acceleration in rpm per second for our own data. Our customers with our parts and/or tunes are more than welcome to share any data they like. If you are interested in a 60-130 time feel free to stop by if you have a vbox :slight_smile:

Thanks, even though this is another product that we are supporting it does feel good given some of the history behind the RS6 turbos.

That is exactly correct but we are simply showing the public what these turbos are capable of. What does it give for the people? It is a more affordable option compared to the oem rs6 turbo with a little added. We have been testing and abusing these turbos for over a year now on our shop B5 including several other B5’s so unlike some companies who release their products premature, we try and do our best as far as longevity testing goes.

My car with ko3’s and the 12.2 I went I was obviously pushing the turbos to the limit but did I “blow” them? No. I actually ran the turbos for over a year after I went 12.2 with multiple track visits after that to try and best the 12.2 itself. The best I could get down to was a 12.3 and went onto the Vast GT kit when I got back from my deployment. The turbos were working perfectly fine and only showed fin damage from being over spun(obviously) and having over 150k miles on them.

As for this product, it’s LIGHT YEARS from being proven. Sure the performance appears to be there, but if you can find a post of mine in this thread (or any other) where I stamped this as proven and reliable yada yada yada, I will buy you a case of whatever swill American beer you drink. When Notorious VR comes back, if he can do the same, I will make the same offer to him.

The s4 looks good. would love to see this shops product against 034’s single turbo shop product. It seems like they are making the same amount of power.

My post was in contrast to you saying how some people dislike JHM but are all for other companies. Companies you seem to have everything in the world against because you think it’s some conspiracy theory against everyone. And only JHM can make cars that work.

What I was getting at was JHM isn’t the end all-be all of Audi’s… Lots of shops do nice work, and many have accomplishments but just because some accomplishments don’t fall inline with some peoples perspectives doesn’t mean they’re any less valid.

As for the K03 part, the 10.8 video demonstrating the RS6-R’s is a good example of trying to make people believe what they want to believe. Some buy in on empty promises, others buy in blind no matter what.

JHM actually owns a B5 S4 unlike most of the hero companies that placate kids on the B5 forums with dyno sheets and b.s. They have had these turbos on their car for nearly a year. They have put more than 10,000 miles on them of, as you can see, hard as fuck driving as well as daily driving the car. Then they put them on half a dozen cars for customer beta testing. I’m not sure what else you want them to do, but from the shop’s point of view, I think they’ve done what they can. The product needs to prove itself on customer cars now.

You don’t see me praising APR for making a suite of good parts and supporting the B8 platform. You don’t see me on RS246 telling people about the great looking TVS1900 AMD supercharger kit that they plan to launch either. No, you don’t see me doing any of this…you just see what you want to see. That’s understandable. Arguing from a position of weakness, like yours usually is, can lead you to do silly things like that.

Who do I give a free pass to? Maybe I have missed some aspects of conversations, I am a pretty big tial guy and have defended turbos as hardware when needed. On the flip side your first paragraph is rad, hits home. Edit, other than the nyet part, people should play with computers and their cars more.

re my first paragraph…not sure if serious. I do like that you own a B5. It’s incredible to me to think that some companies don’t. How do they do that? “Hey customer Joe…can you bring your car in for 2 months? I need to see how to make something, and then I need to test my parts on it to see if I know what I’m doing. Don’t worry man, I’ll give you a free tune”. APR steps RIGHT the fuck up with respect to owning the cars and testing on them. They have multiple R8s, B8 S4s, they just bought a B7 RS4…and they just bought an RS5. On order? An S7. I love seeing that. Not only does it show that

a) they’re capitalized at least partially
b) they’re invested in the platforms and can test their own parts on their own cars

They’re an extreme example but jesus fuck if I were a B5 tuner I’d own 3 of the things. They’re as cheap as chips.

The problem with B5 guys is they continue to get butt %uck by misleading info, dyno charts, logs etc and always cry about the price on parts etc mainly turbochargers but when someone has something that works & works well for a reasonable price they start to bash everything about it. You can’t win with this crew & I’m surprised shops have anything to do with these guys anymore. Let the snakes have them!

I think your 12.8 was a fluke, so until you beat that time, your 106mph doesn’t seem to far from my 110 mph, which was accomplished while not even trying to best anything.
