Insideline Audi TT-RS 2.5 TFSI test numbers - 13.0@105.6 1/4 mile
Insideline did a quick test video of the USA TT-RS. Our version only comes in 6-speed manual which is a bit of a bummer as the DSG would no doubt put up quicker numbers. Insideline managed to hit 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and the 1/4 mile came in a rather disappointing 13.0@105.6. They were testing on a very hot summer day in Southern California with what appeared to be a VBOX so one should keep that in mind.Car and Driver hit 12.1@113 with a 0-60 of 3.6 which is a huge difference. That car was a DSG vehicle with launch control however and likely tested in better weather. The handling numbers are a respectable 68.2 mph in the slalom and .91g on the skidpad. Insideline states that the car feels numb however and is sort of a dull instrument.AudiBoost really likes the car it just is a bit of a downer that it only comes in the coupe form and only with the 6-Speed in the USA. Still, better than nothing.

Yes, ordered in early Feb. Will be here in early/mid May… Sepang, tech pack, heated seats… Got 5% off + owner loyalty… Can’t wait… Drove the S4 this weekend and am itching to drag race… Hurry up APR I want a new blower also! LOL
A Vbox if I am correct. 1. I didn’t start this as a thread 2. The title should be “on a track” the 1/4 was a side note. 3. I’m hearing from people at that track event that the said TTRS has been laying down better times than the local JHM tuned RS4. I can’t confirm it.
It is known the TTRS is a better handling. Fact
At similar trap (and in one account et) speeds it will not be faster around a track.
Simple logic.
You said they would be door to door around a track, come on saki, think about it. Also when you ask anyone who has driven both cars you will hear them say the TTRS is superior. Eg making them as fast as each other in a straight line does not make them equal on the road course.
I have lap times on the various tracks I visit with my B5 Avant, no times for those you listed. You’re right, most people aren’t worried about times but throughout the day one can determine who you can or can’t run with. So many variables exist its not worth fighting over. My vid from Daytona running with the V10 R8 is only a video, it proves nothing but it does give an indication of overall performance. It certainly doesn’t indicate I’m faster and it doesn’t necessarily mean he is either, lap times are required to determine this.
Regarding the thread… Not sure what is attempting to be compared… we have multiple cars compared and used as analogies, coupled with human judgement…
Do track times exist for the same track with each car utilizing one driver? If you don’t then everyone can waste time and continue speculating. Frankly, using magazine times should also be avoided, it’s simply another variable to added to the equation.
Are all Nurburgring times quoted when the track is closed to the general public? Probably not, just a thought b/c I thought I saw a post about the varying times around the ring. Slight variations also exist within the ring.
Can we get some disclosure on any extrodinary member’s rights here on the forum? What can any extraordinary member do here that “full members” can’t, exactly. As far as I know, Saki is not a moderator. I know he has also offered to delete posts of mine before (with my cooperation), of which I declined.
well we all know the best way to compare two cars is with random weekend warriors of wildly differing skill levels.
As for my ability I can split threads if they get off topic. Temporarily as God is not available… And the threads have been a fucking disaster lately… And clearly om not very good at it as half of this tweets off topic thread is on the other thread still (not to mention the other threads). That’s unfortunately all I can do. I wish I could give epic karma smites lol.
He is blind man, it’s pointless to keep arguing…if I had to make a comparison, Paperishdbag is to CantKillanything0-130 is to 8Nothing is to Tweetybird when you provide them with facts or ask them a question they argue incoherently.
