No member but me can control the site. The membership has control of the members but edit changes go through me. There are several programs set up to take over the site soon. Untill then a few select members can mark threads for requested moderation. Sakimano marked one thread and there were several reported posts along with several edited posts. Edited posts require authorization when this happens you will see the god member name. While im not actually on the site the request goes through me and the actions that follow do as well
I granted the request to split a thread and have yet to look at the reported posts.
The site has grown quite a bit over the past year and so have the programs that support the site. With the larger membership comes larger issues. All of these will be addressed soon
Lol as sakimano. God would be nice. Would mean I own much nicer cars.
As far as I can tell, being online just means you’re logged in and device is on. You’ve probably noticed the stay logged in option and that you can always be logged in. He asked me to help with the mayhem but I told him I didn’t want to be a moderator. Just to help him get things going. When I filled the quarter mile he had to give me a certain level of access to add the times and it gave me this entry level thread splitting/merging button.
One of my pms to you? Which one (when)? I will resend. If it was deleted, you deleted it. I was an actual moderator on euro addiction and nobody could see anybody else’s pms. I believe I was what vb calls super moderator meaning I could see almost anything, but pms were off limits. I assume that’s standard forum protocol?
It was a PM you meant to send to my bro, but you sent to me. When I clicked on the PM link in the notification email, it said the message didn’t exist, which would make sense if it was requested for deletion from my inbox. I don’t need the message, thanks. That’s all I needed to know.
I raced a Beautiful Suzuka TTRS 3 times back to back.
1st race I was in 5th we started 55-60 to ~100 I took him by half a car
2nd race I was in 4th 55-60 to 110 I was 2-3 cars ahead
3rd race I was in 4th 75-130 I took him by 4 or more cars, it wasn’t even close. He only had the car for a couple of months but it was broken in.
the three best quarter mile times for JHM bolt on RS4s are
12.2 @ 112.9
12.2 @ 112.4
12.2 @ 111.2
the three best quarter mile times for STOCK US Spec TTRS (since this started from a discussion about a TTRS at a track day in the US)
12.6 @ 109.6
12.7 @ 112
12.8 @ 112
So it’s pretty close, but the edge has to go to the RS4. When you factor in the various lapping time challenges from Europe that show the TTRS marginally quicker than a STOCK RS4 on some tracks and slower on others (WITH DSG REMEMBER) you have to see my point…that a JHM tune/exhaust RS4 will be door handle to door handle with a stock TTRS in the US.
No more crying to defend a car you don’t even own please tweets.
Here’s the homework that tweets should have done before he opened his mouth
how would you know what would happen vs. a TTRS based on how fast a JHM tuned/exhaust RS4 is, if you haven’t raced either…?
Anyway, your car should be a few steps ahead of a stock TTRS from a dig and a bit better from a roll. Wouldn’t be a disaster for the TT driver. Wouldn’t be good though.
Same goes for a JHM RS4, alghtough from a dig you’d really have your hands full unless you ran the race out to 1/2 a mile.
I still don’t think B8 guys get how effective an RS4 is in the hands of a good driver. For perspective
the day that 81bear ran his DSG B8 S4 with $6,000 modlist (tune, pulley, CPS, intake, exhaust, 034 HFC, LW wheels…a.k.a. everything but stage 3) and his 104 APR 2 file and his 110+ octane race gas, he trapped 119, the B8 S4 record.
same day, 10 minutes later, an RS4 on pump gas with stock exhaust, stock cats but with precats gutted trapped 113-114.
an APR tuned B8 stage 1 with a catback and intake (I think he had an intake) on pump gas ran and trapped 109.6 as his best the same day. My stock car beat his B8 on that day. My stock car also beat a GIAC 91 tuned car with catback on another day (all day)
(Un)fortunately you won’t run up against many B7 RS4s…there are less of the limited production RS car in the entire country than Audi sells DSG B8s…each year. Only around 2000 RS4s.
If you want a shock, you should contact a member on this site from southern california named ‘jonathan’ and tell him you want to race their B7 RS4. It should be a pretty quick car.
I dont know, thats why I said based on how fast you guys say the RS4 is tuned.
Also I posted the results of our race I was a good 4 cars ahead of him when we started at higher speeds and I was in my sweet spot in 4th gear. But again who knows how well the other guy was driving.
problem with 6 speed races and noobs is that there seems to be a dramatic range in abilities. That’s why I added ‘IN A GOOD DRIVER’S HANDS’ as a caveat to my post about the RS4, because the RS4 has seen some fucking DANDY results from ham fisted drivers who struggle to get out of the 13s even with $10,000 thrown at the car.
TTRS is pretty cool. It looks awesome I think. Really badass. I think the spoiler is great, the front end is great, wheels are great. Would really like to see someone get one and then put it on a mean diet where all the mods make it look meaner and meaner. Ever see that tuned one in Europe absolutely annhillate the M5 on the runway up to 170 MPH? It was funny as hell.
