For the A6, considering the work that goes in vs the number of A6 tunes they will sell…as well as the cost of tune delivery (setting up that server system cost them a fortune and lots of grey hairs) , I would say it sounds very fair. Let me put it another way…there are virtually ZERO good tunes for your car. So imagine having to hire someone who you would consider EXPERT at tuning your Audi to develop a tune for you. What do you think you would have to pay them for a few hours of work? Now consider that hundreds of hours of work went into that tune. Still think it’s expensive?
I mean shit you could probably find someone to do a ‘custom dyno tune’ for you for $500 and save $150. Of course you’ll end up with a nice piece of paper and a car that isn’t much faster than stock.
You could always get a deal on a stolen APR tune from that douchebag on audizine who publicly admits to pirating tunes and distributing them.
