Just bought a B6 S4

Hi guys I just bought a b6 S4 , its in excellent condition , its complete stock , tip and low miles , will post some pics later this weekend.
I will be doing a deep review next week .
Now Im looking at some light weight parts… rotors , wheels ceramic wheel bearings etc…

I want to start with the light weight parts first ( first a complete tuneup , oil , coolant , plugs , trans oil , diff oil etc), test them with my racelogic vbox , then start with the air mods…
I do not know if JHM have a TCU tune yet …
If some mod can change the nick please do it jp42v8… for now. ;D

Ok how serious into weight loss are you wanting to get? A user did go gown to around 3000 lbs. And well the rest of the info to go 12’s is in here and well 11’s is just a super charger after All that.

Just the normal stuff I put on all my cars.

Ceramic wheel bearings, light weight wheels and tires , rotors , battery and relocated to the back , light catback (aluminum piping) , light pulley and thats about it.

Rotors are 20lbs less front
wheels 24-6lbs less aprox
rear rotors 7lbs less
tires 8lbs less aprox
battery 20-25 lbs less and better weight distribution
pulley 5,5 lbs less
catback 5-7lbs less aprox

rotational mass less its about 63-65lbs aprox
and 25-30lbs less of weight ,plus you can always take the spare tire and tolls outs and that is about 30-5lbs less , another 60-5 pounds lighter
Very nice weight reduction on my book.

If it needs a new clutch jhm has a lightweight flywheel that saves 13 lbs I think, and that is rotating right at the crank.

They are really not that much lighter. I don’t see losing much weight from the suspension.

I have never heard of ceramic wheel bearings before so where do you get those from?

Sorry for the question , but how fast are the stock tip S4 1/4 mile? I have not found much info …
96-8 mph I guess for trap and mid 14 time?

when i pulled my spare in my B6 it hurt weight distribution but light…so its a give and take
