Just ordered 18x9 Nuespeed wheels and JHM LW Rotors...

Fuck him he is an idiot and a duschebag. Who cares about him and his comped supercharger kit. HE isn’t breaking any real ground here you are. Go TSIVAS27…

GO PETE…

seriously good luck guys.

I break his balls about it but the last thing you want to do is blow out your clutch and wait for a tow for 3 hrs, and then not be able to get to work.

Oh man, I’m jealous that you guys are getting out there - and you’ve had a way worse winter than us for both cold and snow!

Great work both of you trapping 118. Get a chance to chat to the RS5 owner?

Holy shit that is quick. 1/100th. Rynurz is biting his nails…

Love how the B8 guys hit the strip and get interested. The RS4 guys are, for the most part, a bunch of fags about it.

All good saki… I know ur busting balls. But def reason why it stayed home. Had more fun with the DSG anyways. It’s scary consistent.

If it had less gas and was a little cooler I would have broken for sure.

On stock cats and rotors lol

I still don’t know what the tire pressures were.

That’s because the RS4 isn’t made for the strip, right?

Crazy good times. Congrats guys!

Yeah exactly. Shows how good the stock cats are that they are pretty much zero restriction. On the previous generations the cars had two cats per bank. The precats were performance killers but the main cats were great. Sounds like you guys just have main cats that work well.

What was the best time and mph for the RS5?His 60 foot was shit in the one run you showed.

He had enough mph for a 12.3.

I def want to hit the track ASAP.

Anybody know when the closest one to Windsor/Detroit opens?

Saki?

7 DSG runs

Nice. Just glad someone beat the SupremePower time, and they can take that stupid banner off. Ridiculous…

Impressed with the times on stock cats, and pretty basic mods. Agree with Sak- definitely shows there is not much of a loss with cats. I would like to see what test pipes could do on the B8.5. Be good compare to stock cats and headers we have here.

11.62 damn so close! Great work guys, hopefully you got some vids

jones - Cayuga (Toronto) is usually open by first weekend of April. St. Thomas has always opened after that… No idea on Milan (pronounced my-lan, I had no idea lol).

Thank you two for going and sharing…I was looking forward to seeing this today, before the canada/us hockey game and the supercross I PVRd…

I’m stoked you did so well on what I consider the ideal bolt-ons…plus race gas. I can’t speak for anyone else and differ in opinion to most but I’ll always go to the strip on race gas when it’s worth that much.

I wonder how much of the time was due to those 17s…lol I can see all the AZ drones now going out and trying to find a 17" setup that will fit hahahaha

Also the low low miles on Pete’s pops car. Not sure if you guys ever follow car and driver’s long-term testing…the cars usually get slower by a couple tenths when they re-test at the end…:frowning:

You were so close tsivas27.

Can’t wait for MIR next week.

It is interesting how the RS5 did. My friend Vixcan is going with me to MIR and hopefully he can get into the low 12s.

we have seen a couple go 12.4 stock. Not sure if any more than like 3-4 have hit the strip though . Mostly guys in the summer when times are shit. Be sure to post. Or if you run in Canada we can put him up against a stock rs4 (bangoman) and a slightly modified one with exhaust (me). Edit :just saw that was you Bones not Jones. You’re nowhere near Canada lol

The one that went 12. 8 @ 111 yesterday… Dis it use launch control tsivas? Not sure how he managed a 2.0 60ft with dsg and launch control.

Someone else better run low 12s

why? As with all platforms:

  1. you will have guys who do it right (go when the weather is great, cool the car down, run it low on good 93-94 gas, get the tires right, get the weight/cargo out of the car, stage it perfectly, launch it perfectly and bang, you get a record.

  2. you will have guys who just go to try it out and don’t look after the variables, but run middle of the road times

  3. you will have guys who go mid July in 90 degree heat, with a full tank of 91, with loads of shit in their car, on a busy friday night and line up with hundreds of cars heatsoaking nicely, and run 13.2 @ 107

It will happen in time. Generally the first generation of an RS car’s owners aren’t into performance testing. The second and third generations are the ones who get a bit more serious about it. Can’t forget the RS5 is only 1 year old here, and is still an $80,000 car . Most guys who buy $80,000 cars won’t go near a track or dragstrip.

Saki, Euro’s post was probably directed at me and today I am doing some maintenance to be like the first type that you described. I will definitely let you guys know how it goes.

ah OK.

Be more secretive about your track visits.
Go and run a good number while looking after ALL of the variables.
Surprise the forums with the results.

That’s my motto on it. When you pre-announce you bring pressure to perform etc.

In fact I would do performance testing at home to ensure the car is doing what my modlist should produce. If it’s not, figure it out before going to the dragstrip. If it is, go gangbusters and grab a timeslip.

I hear what your saying Saki but some of us thrive under pressure. Plus it is great to get a bunch of other local Audi owners to actually go to the track.
