KW V3 SET UP.

My KW’s are set up way from perfect and I would say are worse than stock at the mo, definately the front rebound is to soft and I think I could lower the car another 1/2 inch without issues. What settings are drivers here using? I’ve driven Spinners V2 set up and it feels great in comparision to stock so I know i’m a long way off at the mo.

A lot of people looking but no advice :frowning:

I asked KW to adjust my V3’s for me before shipping them. Explained my driving style and it was done, and I am very happy with the overall ride quality. I don’t recall what my settings are, so I can’t help there. Best bet is to contact KW for some advice.

this is on a B8 S5 4.2 FSI I believe

I like my setup but I couldn’t begin to tell you what it is. The gist is above the halfway point in firmness but not all the way. As for the actual detailed settings, no clue. It’s not easy to tell from looking either.

Disclaimer: I have PSS9s.

My front end was bouncy too. Then I decided to do some readjusting. I was thinking of stiffing the front to counteract that. As I’m walking around the car pushing on all four corners I find the REAR was way softer than the front. I found out the last time I adjusted them I left the rear of the car set up on a softer setting by 2 or 3. Its hard to read those damn numbers on the dial upside down. Once I corrected that to make the front and rear the same comfort setting the bounciness was greatly reduced. Now I’m very happy with the ride. The two ends of the car where “fighting” each other and giving me the poor ride.

I know they’re different brands but I’d suspect they are effected by these comfort settings in the same way. So, you may have both ends on the same setting but maybe, just maybe, KW dampening rates for front and rear are off a little and you have to dial the settings in accordingly. Or maybe its simple and you messed up the settings like I did…lol

bit silly of me putting this under RS4’s when I have an S5 duh! But I hoped there were some guys with KW knowledge on here.

i would say take it to a reputable shop, have it corner balanced and tell them your driving habits and what your looking to get out of it, they should be able to get close to what you want… as for ride height its what you prefer

Mine is set to mid range for compression, rebound is on the high side. Can’t remember how many clicks.

Its back with MRC at the mo, they are making changes for me, setting up the geo and corner weights.
