So last week, a bunch of us from the PNW headed down for two track days with Hooked on Driving at Laguna Seca.
MRLS is a bucket list track that I personally have always dreamed of driving on. I’m glad I had the chance to do so!
I made a time lapse of the drive down. Below is from day 2 (Redding, CA to Monterey, CA):

I have a bunch of pictures here from the photographer they had:

It was the first Hooked on Driving event I’ve been on and they’re great. First time point by passing anywhere on the track and quite frankly, I prefer it that way (less getting bunched up).
I’m still going through my videos, but here’s a helmet cam of my last session (before the battery ran out):

I was taking it easy since my track pads were just about toast and I was exhausted.
Also, here’s a video from my buddy’s B8 S4 from the second session of Day 1:

I put two wheels off at the exit of turn 3. lol had to recollect my nerves after that (I let him by as I ‘recovered’). Both B8 S4s (the camera car and the grey one) were on Nitto NT-01 (r-comps are on my shopping list for next season).
Shopping list for next season:
- Telemetry - most likely Vbox Sport
- r-comps/wheels
- more brake pads lol
- new GoPro (still on the original HD Hero)
- Seat to run a harness
