Latest navigation disc?

Can anyone tell me what the part number is for the latest nav disc for my 2009 S6? I have been searching this site, as well as online, and can’t seem to find anything definitive.

And is my car 2G MMI?

4E0060884DS

got mine on ebay somehow… i think i just caught a random guy selling his because i can’t seem to find one as easy now through searching the part number on there…

ECS Tuning refers to that number as a “prior revision.”

I wonder…

Will updating to this disc give me the 3d view?

No, youd need an entirely different system I believe.

Wow that is directly from audi and its about the same price as other venders. Its worth the few extra bucks to get it from Audi but dang 250 is a lot of money for a map update.

Yeah I got mine for like $30 I think but it was luck of the draw I guess

yeah, I got mine last year for $20ish as well. 2016 update.

I can try to burn a copy I guess

I was in my brother-in-laws 2010 Q7 over the weekend, and his has the 3d view. Everything else looks the same (menus, buttons, etc.). Did they change the hardware in 2010?

the nav update disk is just that; an update to the maps, not the software used to display them. Can confirm that in the OKC area at least ALOT of roads and housing subdivisions that didn’t even exist prior to 2016 are on there and complete. I almost would’ve been happy paying $100 for the map update if I didn’t know you could get it for 1/5th that.

See the MMI3g update thread for actual display and display software updates. The map update affects nothing but the maps - and mmmmmmaybe the GPS firmware. It did take a while to install/load.

Oh boy…

I confirmed with the dealer that 4E0060884EG is the correct update DVD for my 2G MMI. Got one on eBay. Intially when I put it in it wasn’t recognized. I determined that to do the update you need to put the disc in and then key up (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcaSmElTThY). The update seemed to start fine, and then got hung up at 6%. As I was sitting there I got a call that went to blue tooth. After the 5 minute call, I turned the car off.

Now the lights on the nav unit flash red, the MMI says “navigation not installed”. When I go into VAGCOM says “controller not found” in the 37-navigation selection.

How do I get this train back on the tracks?

From what I have seen on the older MMI units to fix this. pull out the disk clear all the codes… you can do this by going into vag com and selecting the clear all module codes. From there put the disk back in key up and off the car let sit for a few min and try the procedure. If not search for the module again and try to run the output test

I have an S6 2006 with MMI 2g (in the UK). Have a good Google around as I managed to use an alternative website to get a download of the up to date DVD’s for the Nav.

One clever chap took a Becker V6 set of disks from a different car and get them working on Audi. The source material of the maps were TomTom. It made no real difference to most people but meant TMS in UK was working and the main Europe data was on 1 DVD and not 2.

MMI 2g disks were relatively easy to find, burn and use, again had to Google to find sources.

Problem is I can’t seem to clear the codes on the nav module because it’s like it doesn’t even exist.
What do you mean when you say “try to run the output test?”
