Latest Trip to the Strip and Update on a Few Issues

Agreed. I called APR to verify because I thought the same thing, and they said slot 3 was my 93 tune. It feels so much slower than when on race gas, and the numbers reflect that. The only thing is my logs definately make it look something like a 93 tune, and my car is not liking something with the timing. Specified boost is up at 18-19 psi, actual boost is around 15 psi, and the bypass valve stays shut. The only thing is the timing being low, and even more being pulled due to knock.

At this point, I am going with the theory that my car doesn’t like the heat. If I am still running the awful times with the CPS, and when the weather cools down, I’ll dig into the timing issues more. I’d like to get the data to really see what’s going on before I get APR or Audi involved. I do feel like the car runs ok now. Stock feels stock, 93 feels like a 20% jump or so, and going to 100 feels like a full 100% jump…

Strange. my 93 octane file is in slot 2. Meaning I get 2 fast blinks for 93 octane. 3 fast blinks for race map. If I am wrong then I was running all my times on 93 tune with race gas. What a waste!!!

Every car can be different depending on the combination of maps installed. I have stock, 91, 93, and 100 in that order.

GIAC flash switcher FTW.

Jran, Good stuff man! I’m with Saki something doesn’t seem correct on the 93 tune… The race times are pretty good given the conditions and such… I bet your times improve a great deal on pump once you get some cooler air as I think the heat is what’s causing a lot of these timing issues on the newer cars…

That’s cool you beat the M5! I love beating cars I should so to say… The DSG S4 makes things so easy…

Send me the logs if you could…

Ron, I’ll send you the logs later today. I think I logged all but 2 runs (I did not have grouping/turbo turned on for a few more, but still 7-8 good logs…).

Also… My AMS cooling kit showed up today. Hopefully I’ll have it on before our trip back to the strip on Sept. 5. I am out of town this weekend, but I’m going to try and get my BBK and coolant kit installed next week before we go if the coolant shows up. I should have two days to do the work which should be enough even for me (I’m slow…).

The trip this past Friday was really to make sure I had good baseline logs/times with my current setup. I have only added the CTS intake since my last trip, but that is definitely enough of a change to throw the data off on the CPS.
