LED Tail Lights?

I’m getting random rear tail light error messages so I’ve decided to go LED “if possible”. From what I can tell these from EBay should work, but the seller is requesting I check mine are 6 pin - '08 s6. I haven’t pulled the light out yet.

Is anyone running Led with good/bad experience? My backup is to just get a new stock set from ecs or europaparts.

Cheers for any help!

I have read lots of guys having issues with LED lights on standard cars. I do think one guy on here did the upgrade from standard to LED he said he had some issues with the uprade and I dont remember it being as easy as just plugging in the light.

What code are you getting. I had a heck of a time with the lights on my S4 once it went cold. I had to take out the lights and readjust the prongs and add some electronic grease. So far so good it actually helped them become brighter.

If you can post the acutal code I might be able to save you some money. The LED upgrade is cool option tho

I was looking at these too. Since the RH side one on my has gone all cloudy one mine. Ill check the pinout on mine too in the morning and see how it looks

Hey i upgraded mine to full LED, took a while to find the coding but so far its been a while since they are in and it looks great and no problems.

Any pics or a link to the ones you bought?

In for pix and updates. This looks like it would be a serious must do for most guys if there is no bugs

I might have to take the lead on this one so, to give myself something to mod on the car ;D

Photos would be great !

I’ve pretty much decided on new bulb carriers and then maybe some very light tint on the factory plastic.

The codes are random; brake, reverse, left, right - every time the car is started. From what I’ve found it’s a really common issue. Moisture has definitely entered and I’m quite positive the new carriers will fix the connections and seal the housing again. For $70/ea seems like a good bet. I was looking forward to full led’s though if I could find them, but I still haven’t found anything that seems positive to work.

If anyone does have photos or a happy experience with upgrading it would be great to see before I pull the trigger on the carriers.

has anyone ever bought a pair from www.audiled.eu?

pretty much the same tail lights but im having difficulty paying by paypal and weary of just paying by an paypal invoice they will send me, im just trying to find out if they are a legit seller

I’ve used these guys and they are legit many cheap LED’s are not CAN-BUS compatible and hence the error codes.

i have used them too but im looking for the entire rear light cluster in led form.

I found this thread on another site which might be useful?

I will have some pics tomorrow sorry guys been away the s6 has been in the shop 4 times in the last month and i want to sell it let me know if anyone is interested.

Four times for what? You sound frustrated, you have a warranty though right?

Power steering leak from one of the lines

Coolant leak from a hose

Check engine and random shut off when driving to work one day for misfire, had my tech recode the computer to wipe out the apr stage 1 tune to see if it would help, misfire in 5 cylinders

and lastly the belt snapped and my battery died and had to get it towed to the dealer.

its fine now but its for sale

Eek is that why it’s for :o

Do you have warranty still? Miles? You have a sale thread?

Well i ordered a set of these yesterday, ill post up some pics once i get them working
