This is what it looks like to indicate a turn:

I greatly prefer the latter. Little trick of ownership I suppose. I never ever want those LED rows to be off.

Just leave the lights on auto all the time. They auto turn off.

Then come to my house and I will vagcom your car to no longer wink when you signal.

Wait a week or two and I will get my cable sorted.

Old news. Nobody likes the winking feature of the lights.

This was the number one thing that people would fix with a vagcom.

That Jimmy will delete if you’re a flamer…

Only if he is a rude flaming bastard.

Especially on the guy’s car from my other post that you are referencing. He absolutely hated the winking feature and wouldn’t use his turn signals if they winked. I remember him bitching that he got a ticket for not using his turn signals right after coming in for service … I couldn’t help but burst out laughing so badly that I had to walk away.

So this is something you can turn off in vagcom.

Yep.

This site is very helpful for B8 vagcom changes. http://www.audienthusiasts.com/

For instance to fix the winking then you probably do something like this:
Keep LED DRL’s on With Turn Signal
Keep LED DRL’s on With Turn Signals
[09 – Cent. Elect.]
[Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 3 Bit 7 - Change 1 to 0
