Long overdue small photoshoot [b7 s4]

^def add on spoiler, almost looks like cf in one picture. I’m not sure if it’s the RS4 or one of the aftermarket ones though.

Hemlick’s old car (can’t remember who bought it, but it’s on here now) also had a pretty nice cf rear trunk, and I think it had a slight lip on it built in. It was pretty cool b/c with the CF trunk, he painted everything black to match the car except for the lip part and the license place inlet. So at first glance you’re thinking, oh, cheap add on CF piece, and then you can’t see the seam. . and then you realize it’s all CF haha. Pretty cool way to do it imo.

I tried to swap some parts (plus cash if needed) with Hemlick before he sold it since I was a black B7 too, but he didn’t want to deal with the shipping etc.

its an add on spoiler attached by double sided tape

Its suppose to be the CF OEM DTM that is found on DTM package S4s
Reason I say its suppose to be is because it looks oem and fits nicely like OEM but I wasn’t the one to buy it originally so I can’t verify.

^any links, I think I like it, but I go back and forth every other week on whether I like the lip spoilers like that.

X2 Coderedpl’s is the best I’ve seen. If I get one it’ll be this one.

Love the car Coder. I really like the 3rd pic down. Great color effects. I don’t know a dang thing about photography but I know I like that.

Suppose to be this one:

It’s an OEM part, I THINK i might of gotten a replica but I’m not too sure because the replicas usually have shitty fitment. but this is actually pretty good! I’ll take a pic of it in a few minutes after I get out of class. I’ll try to find out from previous owner if its OEM or not.

Thank you, i really appreciate all the comments.

Just took these right now

^^^ That looks real good. I cant justify spending $650 on one though. Guess I’ll keep my eyes pealed for one that style for less dough

^let me know if ya find any lol.

Got a reply from my buddy.
Spoiler is OEM. Look around classifieds on Audizine and other sites, I HAVE seen them pop-up. It also fits on B7 A4 S-Line trunks, as that’s essentially the same trunk as an S4

That makes sense. I looked a bit yesterday and none of the aftermarket ones compare to the one you have. Thanks for finding that out for us.

Yea I thought I remember him say it’s a replica but nevermind. He did say he got it for a good good deal at the time he did so keep an eye on the classified’s.

the car looks very OEM+ I like it

I heard you gutted your piggies too? Must sound pretty good

Sure did!

^Love it!

Sounds good, is that the same street where 91 did his videos

LOL…i was thinking the same thing.

Sounds good man.

Thank you and yes it is right outside his shop. That’s where I got the piggies done.

need to re-post the exhaust video rules…

My apologies,
Not too sure what exactly you’re referring to?

lol just some rules for making an exhaust video. One of the rules was to run WOT right past the camera…don’t let off as you get up to it because then we hear nothing but 800 rpm idling and a little whoosh as your roll by.

There were a few things I posted as a joke about making exhaust vids…then I went and broke half of them on my own vid lol.

Here’s my old post from like 3 years ago

[quote]bOfficial Exhaust Video Rules[/b]

I’m in the market for a full exhaust for my S4, so I’ve been youtubing the usual suspects. I need to vent my frustration. I will likely offend some, so I apologize in advance. This is entirely in jest, so don’t take it personally . I made an exhaust video of my own, and dreaded watching it because of these 2 rules being violated so badly. It motivated me to come up with some suggestions, which I implemented the next time I tried.

Rule #1 - Drive the car
I feel uneasy when I watch exhaust videos where a guy sits in his car for 26 seconds revving the engine. The obligatory camera-on-ground while you rev the engine sheepishly in your garage/mall parking lot/side of the road, all the while hoping your neighbours/wife/strangers/passersby don’t think you’re a douchebag. Ever do that in real life? Me neither, so who cares what the car sounds like when you sit revving the engine in neutral.

If you make an exhaust vid, it must include, at the very least
a) footage driving towards the camera, accelerating under serious load (rolling up and stopping in front of the camera is, soundwise, useless unless you’re doing some serious downshifting/engine braking)
b) footage driving away from the camera, under serious load (both a and b can be accomplished with a 1st-2nd-3rd gear flyby)
c) driving with the camera recording sound inside the cabin with all windows up to give an idea of driving experience.
Anything else is optional (windows down, tunnels)
91GL’s videos from last week are good examples of meeting rule #1 beautifully

Rule #2 - Edit the video

While it’s nice of you to put the camera down, then walk around the car, open the door, start it up (bing bing bing if you don’t have a vagcom), nobody needs to see it. If you’re lucky enough to have a friend film you, prime cuttingroom floor material includes your friend saying ‘GO!’ 9 times while you strain to hear him through the thick Audi glass. I made a few passes to hear what my car sounds like so I could compare it to some of the aftermarket videos, and I was able to edit all the getting in, turning around, u-turning, waiting for the car to be in visual/audible range etc. I suck at computers so nobody is excused! (you too 91GL!)

That’s all for now. Anyone else have any good suggestions?
