2. dardan - “The fastest RS4 quarter mile times I’ve seen is 13.2.”
(It should be noted that he lives 10 miles from the fastest stock RS4 ever…which actually went 12.75 )
3. 800088 - “I own both S4 B8 & RS4…a DSG Stronic S4 B8 should take the RS4 B7 off the line by a few cars”
!!! Even though the fastest DSG stock S4 is almost 2 tenths slower to the 1/4 mile than the fastest RS4 (12.92 vs. 12.75)…and the RS4 had a quicker 60’ time lol. To confuse matters further, he then says
“Honestly the RS4 is definitely quicker for sure”
He even mentioned an intake for the RS4, which shows he is kinda out of the loop. Stock intake>all aftermarket 4.2 intakes. Probably an Australian APR tune RS4 customer which, as we saw here, doesn’t seem to make your RS4 faster or more powerful. http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2367.0
Who is 14S4 ? Karma to him for clearing the muddy waters and posting the actual facts and a link to the audirevolution.net/quartermile 1/4 mile database.
I really wish more people would know that the database exists. It’s frigging EXTENSIVE and very useful. Searchable, sortable, siftable. Great little resource.
[QUOTE=hodrosS42001]This is pretty much the dumbest thing I have ever read… 93 oct B8 can’t make 400whp right? I have seen B5’s on 93 with advanced timing and stock internals put down 450 whp with clever tuning… learn more about Audi’s and S4 History before saying something stupid please.

It was in response to Pete’s post on that thread.
That is indeed funny. Note how Pete was challenging a B5 car to actually prove acceleration performance against his B8. What does the B5 guy do in response? Resort to dyno numbers!

Also, if that guy can show a B5 that makes 450 whp on an impartial dyno on 93 octane pump gas on the stock motor (no meth, no nitrous, no bullshit) I will buy him a Coke. Reality is the dyno will be from EPL or something a.k.a. their in-house dyno used to sell their products that don’t make your car accelerate very well, thus the dyno focus.
Pete made a really bold claim there.
[quote=auditude3.0t]Find me a B5 on a stock engine with upgraded turbos and full bolt ons that can pull on my B8. 93 v. 93. Bet you won’t find too many, if any at all.

In the B5 world where they are all brainwashed into thinking every stage 3 B5 is a) healthy and b) tuned well for acceleration, they all think Pete is crazy.
In the real world, he is bang on. Finding a stage 3 B5 S4 that can actually run 11.anything is rare as hell. Finding one that can do it on straight 93 octane on the stock motor? Just about impossible.
In 10 years we have seen about 5 B5 S4s do this, and reality is that there are a couple that were doing it with meth that we don’t have disclosure of because the B5 guys don’t seem to remember to report meth as influencing octane.
What are the odds that any B5 can run 11.anything on straight 93 today without a motor build? pretty much zero.

I’ve had 3 “stage III” B5 owners contact me over the last 2 years that wanted to meet at Thompson and race… None of them showed, shocking isn’t it… LOL!
If they had shown up, I can guarantee you would have won.
There was a stage 3 B5 guy sort of talking trash (for fun) to Mistro and his RS4 when Mistro posted a dragstrip thread on the Canada AZ section a year ago. On this occasion, the guy actually showed up at the strip, so that was different.
They made a bunch of passes, and they were neck and neck every single run. There wasn’t more than a tenth in it each time. Mistro had an RS4 with a few bolt ons, and was on pump gas.
