Guy claims to be have been hit by a guy that drove off and asks for advice on repairing damages without going to insurance. Everyone tells him to go to insurance. Then guy says he only heard the hit but saw the driver driving away in the distance. People start saying something smells fishy. Then guy posts pics of damages and it’s pretty obvious he hit something based on how the damage is spread out, including the curb rash on the wheels.
Because ego. Instead he now looks completely ridiculous.
because illegal? sounds like he hit something with white paint that is at least 2-3 feet tall…aka not a curb
I think it’s curb first (based on the wheel) and then something about 2-3 feet tall after ward (hence suggesting maybe it was a parked car). I could easily see it being him hitting the curb, correcting back away from the curb but not having enough clearance time and side swiping a parked car. Then again, it could also just be a pillar. In the first case, it would be hit and run and illegal. In the second case, doesn’t want to go through insurance because he would be completely at fault based on a single vehicle accident causing his premiums to go up).
he does write like a dummy teenager driving her mom’s car while staring down at her iPhone, texting away. Could have been exactly that.

Yeah, as soon as I saw the wheels this first thing that popped into my head was guard rail. Had a buddy who did that a few years ago in his honda and it left very similar damage.
